Mackensen? More Like Krakensen

I have the Mackensen, but in its un-upgraded condition it's been a PITA. The firing angles are not that good, especially compared to its sister, the PEF. The 360 degree turret is nice in theory, but its very restricted firing angles has you exposing way too much broadside which is exacerbated by the armor belt being both shallow and only 10" thick. The relatively quick traverse from side to side is nice, but you don't dare use that turret when under fire. The B-hull will help with a lot of things, but there's no getting around the D-turret issues.

Don't know if this has been covered or mentioned, but if one has 3 bureau projects, one can do ALL 4 Daily Trial ships (IF YOU HAVE THEM). Do the first 3 like usual then switch out the project with an inactive one, do those 3 then switch out with the previous one and add the last ship to the Daily Trial and complete. Will only work with 3 projects and will work with all 3 projects.

It used to be easier when the project you switch from didn’t erase your set up. I don’t know if it’s a bug or intended by WG but now it’s more of a bother than it’s worth to me.

I got the Mackencheese from the daily german crate of all things, and I've been enjoying it. I'm hunting cruisers, slapping BBs with HE to annoy them, using the secondaries, running Hyde with Cunningham and Revel and find the sonar useful for torps from cruisers and cheeky destroyers. So overall been happy to play it.

Well played TBull, as per usual another enjoyable video.. Glad to see Lil John's guest appearance once again! Only managed to catch the last match of your stream where you got a 6 pack and 3 close quarters medals.. That looked like a fun game. Man, weekend just gone Ranked matches was super fucked yeah. The starch as well as the benign plays I witnessed was so demoralising. I almost went nuts and could have dropped kicked my controller, T-Boneplexed my 5, and frog splash my TV from that fucking ordeal - what is the point, especially when you get matched with people who have a 1/3rd win rate and most likely don't have the capacity to think and breathe at the same time? It really is starting to look like there's no point in participating, especially for the meager rewards they give you.

Just unlocked this ship after the terrible nightmare that was the T4 with it's nail guns. It's a marked improvement but I suspect it's another trial before the line gets good. Sadly the CV menace is a real issue.

i got the makensen, un-upgraded its a real turd to play with, especially with the lack of range its the only ship ive played where its concealment is worse than its range!, once you finally get a bit of range into it, it certainly shines, but until then... its rough as anything to play in it.

Derf does not have sonar. I use scheer as he adds with fully packed 1 more plus he reduces fire. Also his traits seem well sorted for these ships.

This gets torn to pieces by tier 6 . Tier 4 seems to be the strongest in the line. Tier6 is ok , tier 7 gets penned from any angle. But they are a blast to play and a challenge instead of the point your nose at the enemy playstyle that a lot of battle ship players enjoy.

It’s funny you say that. The t4 is the only one I have so far and I’m really not liking that ship so far. I try to reserve judgement until I at least have it upgraded and put some games into it but I’m not liking it first impressions wise.

This new line is incredibly underwhelming. The sheer lack of health and armor makes it difficult to fight high caliber ships. While having torps is nice, its useless if you cant get close enough to use them.

I like these ship, t6 even better with torps but with limited CDR there not going to be useful. Very low health, bow stern armor, gun range. They need a buff very under powered

Man I wish I had one of these battlecrusier lines ships still waiting on a chance 🙄 still no luck 😢 I looked at the odds in game to find out the drop chances are only 1.5-4% maximum chance 🤬😡 means the odds are against players everywhere. Dang WG give the players a break we all have supported your games in the past, idk why since it's a tech tree ship why they couldn't just give everyone one of lower tier 4-5 to test out waiting is starting to become reality sets in 😔.
