Originally, I wanted to post the ranked up expert mode solo but there were already a few people who have beaten it as well, so I wanted to make expert mode slightly harder using 2 other modifiers. Keyword: SLIGHTLY HARDER.
Compared to regular ranked up expert, hardcore makes the early game more annoying to play, considering you are forced into putting damage on businessmen instead of investing on cash upgrades so you don't leak a SINGLE enemy. As such, you will receive a bit less income in the mid game compared to normal. Once you get through the early game though, the hardcore modifier can be an easy rewards boost.
However, the main problem was the locked in modifier, which may seem pretty inconvenient at first, but holy crap did it make the late game waves much more annoying. For one, you are pretty much forced into only using a single 4-2 lightbeamer instead of 2 or more since you cannot afford to give up single-target DPS over crowd control. This means that waves can become incredibly overwhelming and you have to manage your bugler abilities and the businessmen sabotage ability. You also cannot micro your recons once they deal all their damage, and you can't even resell your BoF to use it again. Even with 6 3-x businessmen, you will still have a cooldown of 168 seconds, compared to the global cooldown of 105 seconds. In the very endgame of expert, you are waiting for an entire minute compared to just reselling to get BoF back, which makes the end so incredibly clutch.
Honestly, I'm surprised that I was even able to triumph it, despite doing it in regular expert mode ranked up which got nearly close to the exit as well. It is probably due to incredible luck considering Chronos has used its stunning ability which didn't hit any tower towards the end.
What is Tower Blitz? Tower Blitz puts you in the large-scale battle between the Invaders. These aliens have been causing destruction across the world - it's your job to stop them. Use a variety of towers with 2 different paths to take 'em down and defend the base, and prepare for war.
