I like how Tape mode is called Tape on the pedal and Analogue mode is called Ana. Adding that L would have been hilarious though.

Good question. The delay signal only gets added to the dry. The analog dry through prevents any changes to the level/tone of the dry signal. If you want to cut out the dry completely, there is an internal switch for "kill dry"

Love the Ween! You have an excellent appreciation for both classic and contemporary rockin' riffs.
@carrivera9311 жыл бұрын
It's actually kind of an odd feature on this one, you hold down the bypass switch for 2 seconds then you mute the strings and strum the tempo in. Don't know how they thought of it, but it's a little tricky to get down

I've got it for something like 3 weeks now... I love it. Brilliant.
@spalmer71814 жыл бұрын
@Euphoriaman I completely agree...but The Flashback actually has the audio tapping feature that the Nova has. Hold down the switch and "tap" the tempo by strumming your guitar strings. Then release the switch and you have set your tempo. Pretty cool feature. I'm not sure why Andy didn't cover that one...kind of important if you ask me.

I would say the interface of these toneprint pedals is easier to get your head around since there are no multi-layer menus, just four knobs and a switch. Then you wouldn't have the ultimate control or programmability of the Nova - unless of course you start making your own toneprints, that you can do with a computer program available from TC Electronic.

Don't know if it's still relevant but before you change p/ups check the pots and capacitor in your guitar. Good quality pots (cts are excellent) and a paper in oil cap can go a long way to improving your sound and the range of tones available from even cheap p/ups and will be a lot less expensive than new p/ups.

Andy, in most of the delay reviews you did an delay oscillation, why not here? Can this pedal do it? I damn hope so!
@GuitarGeek69314 жыл бұрын
@greendayfan19 i have the dd-7 and it's a good pedal but i would buy this just for the dual delay with quarters and dotted eigth notes cause i like to do u2 style stuff. this pedal seems alot more versitile, and it's true bypass. with the DD7 you have to hold the pedal for 2 seconds before using tap tempo just like with this (except you tap the guitar on the flashback) and that can get a little annoying while playing live. with the dd7 you can get an external foot switch so there's no holding
@iagobroxado14 жыл бұрын

@leozingy13 жыл бұрын
@alejo2564 This one. MXR Carbon Copy has terrible quality control issues (they keep breaking) and so does the Line 6 DL-4 (I had two, took real good care of them - but the knobs start sliding off and the loop mode just broke down in one... all by itself?!?!). TC has always been known as reliable (had a 25+ year old TC Chorus/Flanger and it's still going strong and works quirk-free!). I'm getting the Flashback for my keyboard setup.

Does PGS or anyone know of any new sound on sound loopers planned for issue this year or early next year? I am currently looking into buying the flashback delay for the loop function alone as it has such an easy accessible looper function when working live, with 40secs and with no double tapping and such a small footprint this is the one at the moment.
