Hello. Can i use this for recording my piano? If i use a smartphone video camera? Can i avoid the noise in my room and take the correct sounds from my piano? Only this helicon need? For direct recording using smartphone video record?

Yes use the Tc helicon app Studio FX for Video Recording. But only a piano while you Recording with microphone. The MIDI function is useable if you are recording for example with GarageBand or another MIDI app

@@ChrisKaplan my plan is give below. Just help my case . First i will buy a tc helicon go guitar I have a casio privia piano cost 1200$ I cannot record with only smartphone . Fone mic has noise. Doesnt make good sound quality. So i will connect go guitar helicon to my casio privia and then the other end i will connect to my smartphone. Then i open my phone video recorder. So while taking video , the sound of my casio piano will be captured by tc helicon directly from my fone video recorder? Or should i use any software , before i open my fone video camera to record my videos of playing on piano?

Hey thanks for message me. I tested it a lot, so for example the last 3 videos where recorded with the Go twin. And summertime was completely recorded with it, with garage band, with midi key etc. I tested it with iPhone iPad MacBook. The result is, tc helicon could do their job better. For example: it is nice to have a midi mini, BUT if you are a traveler, and taking a Akai mini with you, you can’t connect it. Because the Akai mini has just a USB B plug. Also other mini keyboards, so that is the first point what disappointing me! 2. They didn’t use USB C plug in, we live in 2020 most devices are using it. It could be so much easier, so if you use it with an iPad, without a DV 5 charger, (they didn’t send a charger just two butteries) your iPad will loose fast energy. If you have a DV5 charger, it will also power your iPad. So it will not gonna loose any energy. So I recommend for you, if you r a traveler, and using iPad and some keyboard don’t buy it. With MacBook fine because u can still plug in your keyboard. The plastic feels really weird. Also the shini black, gets really soon finger prints. So hand on hearth, if you are a beginner. Fine. If you are a professional, better not. And I’m gonna do the video soon as possible. Thinking about to buy for testing the iRig Pro Duo I/O seems to me that this also works with Samsung devices. Because the Go twin is just for IOS MacOS user. Hope could help you a bit. More in my upcoming video. Cheers Chris

Received the Go Twin 5th August from Thomann. Unable to connect to Samsung Galaxy S10 as: 1) there is no connection cable provided. There is only a lightning cable for an iPhone! Should have been provided with a mini USB to USB C data cable. 2) The quick guide is as vague as ever as it only says - Download your favourite TC Helicon App to begin experimenting with effects and 'no links' given for Android phone with USB C connection or a link for a laptop or desk top. Connected the unit to surface pro 6, no software recommendations came up to use the unit, even though the website says when the unit is connected it will be recognised automatically. Would appreciate very much if anyone was able to connect Go Twin to a Galaxy S10 phone with USB C / Surface Pro 6 and be kind enough to share a direct link to the software needed to be downloaded for recording. Every time I tried to download software it said it will work only with iPad and iPhone. Waited for 4 months to receive the unit, but disappointed - unable to use it.

Thank you for those very important informations!!! I wondered too why it didn’t come already with an usb c cable?!? For example I can’t use it without an adapter for the newest MacBook Pro. I’m not a Samsung user but I’ll take your experience with the Tc Helicon Go Twin in my review video.

@@Chuliestudio1 Hello, I came to know that you were unable to connect the TC Helicon Go Twin with your Samsung tab which has type C input. Ofcourse, there is a solution for that problem. Pl you buy a "type C" OTG cable (which does'nt cost much even a good quality one)and connect that to your samsung tab and then connect the usb type A cable of this device which they provided already to the OTG other end. Finally plug the other end (usb mini) of that cable to TC Helicon Twin. And your tab should detect your device via the OTG type C cable. Hoping it should work 100%. Even, it does'nt go waste. Just with that OTG cable, you can connect a lot more other things like other external usb audio interfaces, usb midi controllers, computer usb keyboard, usb mouse etc.

@@vamshikadukuntla Hello as you mentioned it worked well with all devises except my phone which is a Samsung Galaxy S10!! I already had a few USB type C cables and tried but the recommended software by TC Helicon for the Samsung phone did not recognise it. It works fine with the iphone. After many attempts over 2 weeks, I returned the unit, for a refund. Thank you for the info. Much appreciated.
