Thanks so much for uploading this, I think it's so important to have reviews by people who aren't affiliated with the company too. This is really honest and real. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing and hearing your thoughts on your Harmony-G XT! I've shared this on TC-Helicon's Facebook to share with other TC-Helicon fans and users as I'm sure this is something they'd be interested to check out. Best wishes, Joey @ TC-Helicon

I thought i was a great review ! I've been putting off the firmware update as i was unsure how the autotune would work. I really didn't want it to be on all the time and, now i know it isnt, i shall update today -Thanks !!!

So, double clicking TONE will turn Pitch Correction on and off (tone LED will flash quickly for a moment when engaged or disengaged). This doesn't change the status of the Tone function. Here's the rundown on LED indications: 1.Only Tone active: Tone LEd glows solidly. 2.Only Pitch correction active: Tone LED flashes periodically. 3.Both Tone and Pitch Correction active: Tone LED glows solidly but flashes off periodically. Note: you can't control the amount of Pitch Correction, there is no control parameter.

Thanks most people doing demos don't even talk about the tone switch and autotune.

How do you get to pitch correction only, when you showed it to us it was already off and blinking periodically, you didn't show us how to get to that point with only pitch correction
@rldays91793 жыл бұрын
Was a while ago now but the pitch correction came as part of an update. Stuffed if i can remember how you had to activate it or it was just on there. No I'm pretty sure you could adjust it but like I said that was a while ago. You will have to check with the TC Helicon website or forums but yeah it was not originally on the pedal until you plugged it into your PC and downloaded the upgrade.

it could be your power supply i had a similar problem with distortion pedal but dont know if it would be the same thing with this pedal

sounds like the gxt is broken. Maybe a broken connection inside when you click the button causing the buzz. I would get it looked at. I'm assuming he goes into the gxt then out to his effects then amp or straight to amp from gxt. I have been recording with mine and laltely it sounds like it has a very low warble on the voice I am wondering if it is the auto tune trying to decide on the note it thinks i should be singing. Either that or I sing funny.

Many thanks from me too to clown192 for his review, mostly because he reported the autotune upgrade on which I am interested to. My question for you, Joey, is whether this feature has been implemented also in others TC-Helicon pedals that have the tone button (I am actually interested in the VoiceTone Synth) and if the quality of the pich corrector (and possibly other features related with the tone button) are comparable with the ones on VoiceTone Correct xt. Thank you so much!

@clown192 Heya Rob! You're very welcome :). I will certainly forward on the video to the powers that be and suggest your idea. Unfortunately, I don't have a huge influence personally with the website... but, I'll certainly share your videos on Facebook! I was really getting into the song snippet you give at the end - I'd love to hear a whole song! You're a sweetheart for allowing me to share your video and include us in your journey. Keep in touch! Joey @ TC-Helicon

It's funny more people don't like this post than people that like it. you do realise it is just a review and is there for your benefit right? I didn't do it to make money or get discounts I did it because i bought a product and had information for those who are looking at buying something like this. I only hope whenever I am about to buy something I can click on You Tube and find someone elses perspective on it that isn't swayed by the company trying to sell it or worse, the competition!

Can this go direct to powered pa speakers without the need for a mixer? Use: acoustic guitar & one vocal mic.
@clown1929 жыл бұрын
Hi yes you can. I have done it in a small restaurant using a JBL powered speaker. I had me and the guitar through the GXT in 1 input of the speaker inputs and my female singer through the other input and it worked fine. Unfortunately her voice was dry (Luckily shes a good singer) but I was able to do big backing sounds. Also you can use the guitar input as an input for a backing recording apparently and it will harmonise your voice but I havent tried that yet. Just for anyone looking at using backing tracks as well. For instance if it is just you and your guitar and your backing tracks, rather than the guitar into the GXT, put that straight into the amp and the backing into your guitar input of the GXT and it will keep your harmonies in key. Again I havent tried it yet but one of those things you could play around with. BUT it does have issues as well. Sometimes for no reason it will go to a full on harmonise in a strange key and wont come out of it without turning it off and on. This doesnt happen much but I was going to use it at theatre for a musical just using the reverb because i liked the sound and luckily in rehearsals it happened so we decided it wasnt trustworthy enough in a situation like that, which is scary because you dont want that happening any time. It has only happened a couple times over the last 4-5 yrs but for live work it makes you question yourself. Also sometimes it just stops putting any sound through until you restart it, for no reason. But hey equipment fails all the time so its a personal choice, i still use it live for solo or duo work with no problem. If there is an issue you can just laugh it off and restart it. It doesnt happen enough to say it is unreliable. Just something I noticed.

i don't know why people cant show what it does and not explain what the usb jack is. anyone watching this already know what a guitar input is
@clown1924 жыл бұрын
The usb jack is just for firmware updates. Doesn't affect playing which might be why nobody mentioned it but good point.

@ EricStJohn, I highly recommend this unit if you're on a budget. Great harmony effects as well as a bunch of others . If you'd like to hear a sample of how it sounds using an MP3 track (no guitar required), check out my cover of Skid Row's I Remember You. I'm not a great vocalist but it made me sound halfway decent. @clown, thanks for the awesome review, your vid was one of the reasons I was turned on to the Harmony G-Xt in the first place. Thanks for sharing the knowledge =)
@byromtaylor64823 жыл бұрын
just wondered when you use the backing mp3s do you run a lead from the desk to the unit to replace the guitar input I would like to run it from backing instead of guitar as i dont play guitarr on every song but want to use this on every song and they all have backing -think it should work the same if you take an output from monitor or headphone out to unit am i right >?
