Do you think it will.suit if I connect a magnetic pick up with this for my Veena ?
@jammstudiosmusic7 жыл бұрын
Hi Murthy, thanks for your comment. In theory yes you could use this unit with your Veena, you would need a Jack to XLR cable to ensure you can get from the pick up to the unit as the unit only has XLR input and output. You may also have to do some work with setting the input gain as the unit is pretty much designed for vocalists exclusively so is designed to handle the input from a voice into a mic. However in theory it will work.If you are looking for an effects unit to work with your Veena and want something specifically tailored to the input from an instrument you should have a look for a comparable on the TC Electronic site.Hope this helps and make sure you subscribe for more TC Helicon reviews in the future.Thanks

Hi Team, I am a Karaoke singer, so how will I connect my laptop to this unit for Track out put and also my mic?
@jammstudiosmusic6 жыл бұрын
Hi Kedar. hanks for your question. The unit does have an AUX input but we can't recall whether that's only for headphone monitoring as we can't imagine it is fed through to the mic out and into the system you are using. It would be easier to do the following. plug your mic into the mic in on the unit, then a lead from the mic out too you mixing desk etc, and then plug your tracks into the system separately. hope that helps and thanks for watching!

you have the unit as a send or something so that so the original signal is rubbing against the effected signal (they are running in parallel). You can tell because when in "talk" mode you're having phase/flange effects. The pitch correction demonstration is especially hard to judge because typically you would have this unit entirely "wet" and wouldn't here the chorusing effect of a tuned and untuned vocal playing simultaneously. Nice review style but I really think you might want to do this over. It's just unfair to the product (which may or may not stink- I have no idea).

Any experience with the TC Helicon stomp boxes? I'm trying to figure out whether to get the Perform V or some of their pedals. 🤷♂️
@urbnctrl4 жыл бұрын
Good questions, my guess is that chainlinking a couple of pedals will get you a modular version of this. However this box is optimized for portable use, which might actually impact the quality compared to the options of the stomp boxes which are specialized in 1 effect per box. So far I have only seen one movie where someone chainlinked a couple of stomp boxes and it worked just fine.
@c0pyimitati0n4 жыл бұрын
@@urbnctrl my main thinking for the individual pedals is that it seems like it would be easier to switch between effects. For instance how easily can you add _distortion and pitch correction_ to your voice and then switch back to just _reverb?_
@AlexJOliver7 жыл бұрын
I look forwards to trying this. I need something to help - not mask - as I feel my way back into fronting bands (been relegated to lead guitar for decades:). A sensible and astute review. It shows how we must sing with the voice we have yet whoever designed this effects unit knew what any singer might require. I'm sure pitch would interfere with vibrato - the one thing singing coaches tell us can help if our singing isn't always on key and it somehow improves tonal quality (it works on guitar too). Having a guitar in hand means I'll let the sound-person do all the switching; but it seems all the fixes we were trying to wring out of the PA are in this box...
@jammstudiosmusic7 жыл бұрын
Alex Oliver thanks Alex, were glad you enjoyed the review. It’s a great unit and certainly has been a big help to singers st some of our shows. If you’re looking for one we would suggest getting down to your local TC Helicon retailer and try one out. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks for watching!

Does it have a robot voice effect? How about to sing a Beatles song, is the doubling enough or do I need another pedal for harmonies?
@jammstudiosmusic6 жыл бұрын
greenrobot5 hi greenrobot5, thanks for your comment. It has a wide range of effects especially when teamed up with the apps. One of them does sound a bit robotic. Bear in mind this is the base model in the perform V range so only has a small amount of effects. I would suggest looking at some bigger TC products for better harmony options but the doubling is very good on this model. Hope that helps and thanks for watching

Thanks for your comment John, the aim of the demonstrations was to show what would be happening in a performance situation, so changing between intonation and techniques and voice styles.
