When demounting the bottom bead, the roller tends to fold the sidewall and ride up over the tire tread. When I release the bottom roller arm and it slides back down along the tread I lose my rim diameter setting. This happens even when I hold the bead in the drop center with my hip. This is especially common on smaller car tires with very soft sidewalls. What should I be doing different?

Thank you for your question. Holding the opposite end of the tire in the drop center is the #1 technique. We can suggest a few more things to try, such as: -Raise the lower roller a little slower (maybe stop halfway up for a second) to give the sidewall time to spring back. The roller moves quick enough to sometimes keep those floppy sidewalls folded over themselves for the entire travel. -Lubricate the lower bead while bead breaking. This will help it slide across the barrel of the wheel and into proper position to demount.

Will the bead press arm fit onto a tc3250? I have one with the side press arm that works fine but the bead press arm would be a nice addition for doing low profiles
