coming from burnout games... the presence of two breaks instead of one, that both more or less do the same confused me. in burnout games it seems so much easier to get into a drift. a mistake that i made here in nfs is that i would hold the normal brake instead of tap it

Im using Lamborghini Aventardo.. I think, the car too much speed when I was race and hard to drift even use normal brake or e-brake. I have to press brake about 2 second before reach any corners even its sharp corner to drift. Plus.. the disadvantage of the car was.. you lost the lead somehow,but you can comeback by your dem speed..

If you want to learn how to drift, play Nfs Carbon. That's how I learn it, & if u keep learning to drift, u know when to turn hard or wide. Just tap the joystick few times instead of braking

It's the emergency brake, popularly called handbrake because in the early days of automobiles, it was a lever by the shift stick you could use to keep a car parked on a steep surface. Nowadays, it's usually a pedal you can find on the far left of the driver's side. It's the most common way to break into a slide because it's the easiest way to lock up your rear wheels without compromising the convenience of anti-lock brakes. Note: the e-brake is not to be confused with the normal brake pedal. (I hope I'm not boring anyone.)

I can tell you ways to hit a player, A Shunt Is hitting them into the rear, A t bone is hitting them head on into the side, head to head is hitting the front of a driver's car head onto them, I think its called a grind if you rub against another player slowly taking their health down, or running em into a wall by making sparks fly

Not true actually. Drifting, or "powersliding", is a proven way to take tight corners without sacrificing too much speed. The main reason you don't see it in pro racing is because of how risky it is to slide in a car that weighs less than a single ton which, in the case of pro circuits, is most often the case. It's even riskier in formula racing because an f1 is usually less than 500 lbs. In the case of street racing, though, it's common practice to drift around corners tighter than 45 degrees since most street cars, even high-end exotics, tend to weigh 3000 lbs. Or more. Despite all of this, you should still probably invest in upgrades for your traction. Doing so allows you to more easily recover if you are about to spin out. (This is all proven technique in precision driving. Research it, it's quite fascinating.)
