Both of my kids earned worlds invites as junior, one two times and the second once. One is now 16 and the other 13. When asked abkut what they saw they both said it looked like rolling dice, demonstrating the obscene one was the judge who put his own thought on the situation. The result of that situation also gave a unfair advantage to the eventual winner, in the form of a favorable top 4 match up, and hia opponent was harmed by gaining an unfavorable matchup.

The prizes aren't what robbed Jesse, it was Pokemon's decision for the final game. They should have either A, let Ian play with a warning and a penalty of some sort, or B, just pushed Jesse through to Day 3. Literally EVERYBODY was expecting that last game to be Jesse VS Ian resulting in Miraidon ex staying undefeated into Day 3, but Pokemon listened to a bunch of whiners and misinterpreted a fist pump as something crude, causing a horrific snowball effect. Genuinely not excited for Day 3 anymore because of all of this shit.

He made a lot of people disappointed and caused confusion to a whole community 2nd judges did what it states in the rules of pokemon. It was nothing about feeling against anyone. 3RD the Chilean guy is not responsible for anything but winning. Stop judging him. He deserves his 1st place.

They've completely snubbed the entire thing about Ian's gesture. "Was issued a match loss for an unsportsmanlike conduct *before* the match was concluded" No the game had concluded, the match slip was signed, the match winner interview was done. TCG worlds top 4 did not happen in 2024, see you guys in 2025. Do better.

I do understand the logic behind it, but I think it's RADICALLY jumping to conclusions too. Could the gesture be x? Yeah. It could also be y. No one was damaged and hurt by this "unsportsmanlike" gesture, until 2 hours later it was deemed bad enough to turn a win into a loss. Not really my idea of sportsmanship from the governing body honestly. Even going by the thought process that not punishing him will "encourage similar behavior" is stupid because the gesture was very innocent on it's face. Just hyped for winning. Now if someone created a hole with their other hand and put the other hand's a index finger in and out, that I would wholeheartedly understand being too vulgar for this event, even if I personally would probably just laugh seeing it 😅 But what happened here is honestly overkill
