Tchaikovsky/Pletnev: Pas De Deux

This is a piano arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Pas de Deux from his ballet 'The Nutcracker'. There are essentially 3 voices to capture the orchestra in the piano. Mikhail Pletnev is a true virtuoso, whose transcriptions are a treasure trove for pianists and enthusiasts alike.
(Note: Near the end, the trills passage is from an arrangement of the same piece by Sergei Taneyev. So, I played Pletnev's piano arrangement with Taneyev ending because I liked it! )

Thank you very much! I think it took me 4-5 months to work on this piece from the start till recording. This involved listening to Rozum's and Pletnev's recordings countless number of times and working out accordingly.

Well this piece took a very long time to practice. The difficulty of this piece was the reason I wanted to play this piece. Just be patient and practice….that’s the only advice I can give you…

I suggest you change up your fingering the one written in the score. The right hand double sixths should be played 1-3, 2-5, 1-3, 2-5 etc. You are playing with 1-5 for every arpeggio, which makes it way easier to miss notes. The right hand becomes a lot more consistent if you use that fingering, well played nonetheless!
