hi just popping into say, if you can’t afford classes then you can always teach yourself! i’m self taught and i learn by ear or by using synthesia transcriptions, and i can play this piece, though not as well as this lady does. but classes are always the better option and should definitely be considered! i just taught myself because i can’t afford them :)

It’s a beautiful piece love it a lot but far from my favorite. I can appreciate the virtuosity it takes to play this piece but there’s a type of dynamism that very little people have to play pieces such as “la Campanella”. I love Tchaikovsky but his works weren’t as specialized towards the piano. Nonetheless keep up the good work I loved this!! :)

WeRo, you were right to step away for awhile. Sometimes, the very things we love dominate us, as we unknowingly or knowingly abandon other facets of our lives. We need to breathe sometimes. Michael Jordan stepped away from basketball, in what, some consider his prime years. Eventually, he returned refreshed and composed for 3 consecutive championships. Whether you return to the Ivory Queen of 88 Voices or not, know that you have made an indelible impression on so many lives. Every day, I practice Swan Lake in hopes that my fingers will one day mimic yours. And with each session, I become hungrier as I see my improvement. WeRo, you are my teacher, and I appreciate you giving us a sample of what the sound of excellence can become. And while KZbin may never again see your triumphant return to Keynote Glory, for many of us, you will always be Champion.

WeRo, I'm doing my best to play the piece exactly as you do. Im 46 years old and just started playing a few years ago. I've never been so inspired to learn a piece of music upon hearing your rendition of Swan Lake. I praise and appreciate the excellent rendition from Kenneth Nappier. It is wonderful and remarkable. WeRo, I was, once, a great athlete. My son inherited my greatness, in reference to physical athletic feats. He has learned many techniques from me, by watching me and making application of the acquired skills. He has become more superior than I ever was, so he respects me very much and have taken nothing away from his father. Why am I saying these things to you, one might wonder. You examined this work of Kenneth Nappier very closely, made it your own, and without any disrespect, you have surpassed, even his composition. WeRo, it would be my greatest honor if I could, occasionally, comment on this particular page and ask for advice on where you put certain fingers on the keys when you, masterfully, modified this piece into somewhat of a second coming of Swan Lake. Pyotr Tchaikovsky would wink his eye at Emperor Alexander III and say, "See, I told you she was incredible" :) WeRo, if you cannot find the time to assist, I do understand. We all have busy schedules. At any rate, I want to thank you for bringing a measure of joy into my life through the works of your fingers. :)

I have this memory from when i was about 4 or 5 years old: i was sitting alone in my bedroom, on the ground in a corner and holding my favorited toy. It was a small silicone ballerina doll, that was rather round instead of a realistic shape of a body. It had blonde hair. And when i squeezed it it played this song. I sat there on my floor, at around 4 years old listening to this song that had me absolutely enchanted by it. Then years later, probably around 16 or 17, im not sure how i had figured it out exactly, all i know is that i had heard this song again, recognized that was the same song, then i was able to take note of the title and composers name. This is still my favorite classical song til this day, as i remember feeling something inside when i heard it as a little girl. Like as if i had gained a secret knowledge of something that only a select number of people in the world were aware of. All at the age of 4. It may have just fed me my earliest example of delusions of grandeur though . Lol. No, but seriously.... totally the secret knowledge part. Um, however anyways, you have played this piece so beautifully that i absolutely must capture this recording. Your key strokes have me on another level of that "whoa" type of enchantment all over again. Thank you.
