I've listened to so many different interpretations of this piece, and this is by far my favorite. The weight on every single note in the piano is absolute bliss, and you can tell each phrase was chosen with care. The orchestra accentuates the beauty of the melody and gives such warmth that makes my heart and skin simply tingle. Brilliant and beautiful.

Thank you for your message, actually the recording was very bad with very close position of the microphones close to the piano and very far away from the orchestra, so even the piano dynamics sounded like a forte. In future I will post much better performances :)

The concerto version of Barcarolle is excellent and as you mentioned, the position of microphones may have room to improve to concord the piano and the orchestra. But anyway, I love and respect this performance.

Very pleasing, well orchestrated and played. Although some purists might say, "Keep them as solo piano pieces" I disagree. Tchaikovsky always thought orchestrally, and it is very obvious in his solo piano music that his orchestral imagination was always at work. Congratulations on what you have achieved here!

I choose this piece of music as my birthday treat for years now. It isn’t long in comparison with other piano music but to get it “ right “ could be very challenging. Изключително благодарна съм, че попаднах на рапсодията му без да съм слушала преди това 18-та вариация от нея, без да съм наясно с филма Somewhere in Time, т.е. без предварителни етикети. Разбира се, после разбрах за филма и го гледах, много ми хареса. Но предпочитам да слушам цялата рапсодия без да правя асоциации с филма, иначе 18-та вариация придобива трагичен оттенък. А всъщност рапсодията завършва със закачлива лекота, едно намигване. Поне аз така го усетих.
