I agree, Vivaldi's Seasons are definitely not bad but overrated compared to Tchaikovsky's amazing works

Sacrilegio....Vivaldi's piece is the first step for loving classical music. When a child does not like classical music, Barroque music is the "easer" music for understund, learn and finally love classical music. It's my personal opinion, my experiece....
@laurend.statham17424 жыл бұрын
José Miguel Palao Ibáñez but Vivaldi fails to deliver any depth. It is hard to appreciate a set of pieces relating to the same theme(s) when they’re the first and only thing ever used. Instead of being possibly thought provoking, it comes across as cheapened and over used. Then when you think about it, the level that Tchaikovsky had taken into breaking down every season was way beyond than just touching just the ideas of just 4 seasons while providing and maintaining a level of intimacy as well. So yes, you could say it is the beginner’s guide to Classical music, but I do think that there is music much more worth their own weight than something that’s been devalued over time.

@@laurend.statham1742 both were Genius....and I love them....have you listen Cum Dederit, Stabat Mater, etc... sacred works by Vivaldi?
@hwt-ka-pth4 жыл бұрын
@@josemiguelpalaoibanez7201 Nothing is sacrilege when it's about one's personal preference, when you said "..ís the first step.." that became sacrilege to me because an opinion is holy, and should never be stated as a fact.. I also love them both, and must confess I haven't yet listened to his Cum Dederit, Stabat Mater etc. but I'm about to. Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture was mý first step in real love for classical music :)
