Tchikita - Mike Kenli / Jojo & Mickaela Urban Kiz Dance @ Feeling Kizomba Festival 2017

This dance demo was called the best dance yet by Jojo! Wow!
For Mickaela this video was super special because of all the love they received in the class from people… and it was Jojo’s birthday!!!
In the end of the demo people gave all these positive emotions and even sang the birthday song to him!
It’s crazy how one couple can create such a great energy in class and inspire crowds!
This demo dance is true embodiment of Jojo & Mickaela’s motto - #letysplaykizomba !!!

A bit more about workshop itself.
In this class Jojo & Mickaela were focusing on urban kiz tricks & lifts.
I was lucky to practice on the side with my own partner so had an amazing experience.
It was a bit harder for people who were changing, because it was the most attended class in the all of the festival.
I enjoyed the class and was impressed how this couple is always coming up with new tricks, that wows people.
I have been to 8-9 classes of theirs in last 6 months.
Every time I pick up something new.
Key takeaway for me was that the ONLY reason why Jojo & Mickaela gets away with so many tricks in dance is because they dance it in the music. (count 8-beats to check if I am right)
And because tricks they do look super light - effortless, just like doing saida. If you cannot do them lightly it’s better to do less tricks eh.

This festival is one of the oldest kizomba festivals in the world, on the same level as Paris Kizomba Congress!
It was huge, sometimes a bit too crowded, but manageable! Still had enough space!
Girls were in awe of high level dancers and great ratio. There were a bit more ladies, but just a little! Reasonable! Recommended!
