TCL 50 pro NXTPAPER 5G: my opinion.

The 40next paper changed my life! I got flashed in the eye with a laser and for yrs experienced discomfort when looking at phones! This phone is first phone i have been able to look at without getting pain. So definitely the technology protects the eyes and the blue light thing is real..

@@taianna186 I prefer the screen and price of the TCL 40 NXTPAPER, but the image stabilization for video recording on the TCL 50 Pro NXTPAPER is much better.

Nice review. The e-ink type display is a nice idea for easier reading, though I can dim my current phone and use dark mode. Or buy a cheaper Kindle. However, no IP rating, poor battery life and poor audio quality limit it's appeal.

@@AndrewKZbinhandle I agree that this phone is not the best in its price range, and all the nuances you mentioned are present as well. If I could comfortably use any other smartphone without straining my eyes, I would never have bought a TCL.

Can you say something about the Battery difference in normal Mode and E-Ink Mode? Does the battery last longer in E-Ink (Black/White) Mode or is it just good for the eyes? I really think about to buy this Phone to detox a bit but there are to few Informations for me to je sure 😅

I usually use my phone in Color Paper Mode; it doesn’t significantly extend the battery life. I can't use Max Ink Mode for long because I have too many necessary apps on my phone, and this mode allows only a limited number of apps. Currently, it costs just €200 in Italy, and for that price, it's a great phone for digital detox.

Is the screen very scrachable?

@@alexanderuhly5968 Yes, unfortunately, the screen is very easy to scratch, and the protective film removes the matte effect, making it look like a regular screen, so take good care of the display.

@@beromxnxc It lasts me for a day. I don't use my phone very actively, with an average of 3.5 hours of screen time. In my case, when I go to bed, there's still 30% battery left.

Is the NXTPaper screen on TCL 40 and 50 the same feeling?

@@MawangHujan-fl2zn In my subjective opinion, the screen on the TCL 40 NXTPAPER is easier on the eyes than the screen on the TCL 50 Pro NXTPAPER 5G, even though the manufacturer claims that the new model uses the improved NXTPAPER 3 technology.

@@oATXo It’s all very individual and depends on many factors, but I can comfortably read books in color paper mode for no more than 2 hours straight.
