Tested the alto 6+ at Target and for $99 it's pretty legit. Not sure what model but I spent $300 on a JBL soundbar a few years ago and it fucking bumbs loud and has great sound. JBL makes awesome speakers, id maybe pickup the alto 6+ to add in my room for my TV but the JBL stays in the main living room.

I have the Alto 8i to go with my 6 Series Roku TV and I really like it. It does deliver a crisp sound without it being too heavy on the bass, which is a good thing because I have the whole thing setup in my bedroom. I also like that it has night mode so it won't cause a disturbance. It is sleek and minimalistic which is a huge plus because I can control everything on the Roku TV remote.

I honestly don’t need crazy bass because it will rock my whole house so I was thinking of just getting the 8i since the main downside is not having a seperate subwoofer. I’d rather have the crisp sound of the 8i.

For series 5 and 6 HDMI ARC work only with selected TV, full compatibility start from series 7 ex. TS7000.

Awesome thanks for the video, do u think the 55_65 kit would cover the edges of a 65 Tv with no big gaps in corners?

Just learned the hard way that an 8i soundbar on a Series 6 55" blocks the IR port due to the height, also the length of the bar is the same as the feet on the TV which will not allow you to place it beneath. As it turns out the 8i is defective and I get a do-over. I know I lose features on the 6i but at least it would fit. Also looking at Polk. Volume control from the TCL TV remote is a must. Any suggestions?

I actually just ordered the TCL alto 6 was on sale for under $100! I needed another sound bar for my current Vizio just died suddenly! Looks to be decent plus i did not need a subwoofer!

Looks like the solution is the alto 8e which is basically an 8i with a dedicated subwoofer. Will you make a review of the alto 8e by any chance? It is already out in France and I might get one.
