(lore wise) I believe Virginia, was one of the earliest victims from the family like... they did TCM 2006 lore came first than TCM 2003. This way we can say Virgina was there, then Maria get there and now theres Maria's friends... This is an open window to have Maria playable in the game. They are all victms in the end.

My theory for who the killer is gonna be the window washer from the cooks gas station from the og movie, if you guys dont know in the original movie when sally and her friends get to the cooks gas station, when they pull up a guy with a bucket and a rag washes the vans wind-shield he does this a few times before sitting back down and staring into the sun.

Wow I think her lines are giving away the 2 Victims that will come after her. At 4:36 her lines are directed towards Maria like she's alive. After, the "Unknown" person she sees will be a young male victim, because in the line at 5:36 she mistakes "Unknown" for her son Jesse. This other Victim is also looking for someone apparently.

I get that Maria being dead is the only logical thing to happen from the ending of petals and all, but it could be like how movies are made. They kill off a character, then redecide in a sequel that they come back alive. I would personally love to see Maria, but yeah it definitely doesnt match up with petals. Not that it's a shocker though, considering that petals isn't even optimised, meaning the game wasn't really too important. Could definitely be something that appears in the future.
