Just an exceptional tribute. I wish I could meet Laura Dern; she's an exceptional actress in her own right. Like Barbara Stanwyck before her, she's always been a bit of a risk taker. She's driven by her art, pushing herself to take on such a wide variety of roles. That kind of artistic integrity is in short supply now, unfortunately. I'd love to be able to sit down, and talk with her in depth about her own career, and about Barbara's. I'd also like to thank her for turning me on to Barbara's filmography. Miss Stanwyck was an actress of unmatched range, and each "new" film I discover is a gift. I watched The Lady Eve this morning. Double Indemnity I've watched multiple times. I'm about to start The Man With a Cloak (I cannot WAIT to see Barbara and Joseph Cotten on screen together!), and will watch either Clash by Night or The Two Mrs. Carrolls this evening. And, my order from Fox Connect will be here today; one of the movies I ordered on blu-ray is Titanic. If only I could ask Robert Wagner what it was like to work with her. Thank you, Laura and Barbara. Your films have enriched my life.

Although she was twice his age, she and Robert were a couple for awhile. He mentioned her in his autobio. She also had a fling with Henry Fonda. I am not sure he was married then. Rumor has it,he once told Jane, if fate had been different, Barbara might have been her mom. Interesting. I heard she was also bi, who knows. I love her Pre-code movies. She was also good in The Thorn Birds.

Thank you so much for the video! Stanwyck was real great. She had the look of a queen! Her work in "Double Indemnity" is one of the greatest female performances ever. But, for God's sake tell me, please, what's the music is playing at 3'10'' - 4'20'' accompanying the "Double Indemnity". It seems to me I've heard it somewhere, but can't remember where...

06:14 I've never understood the bit with chewing on a handkerchief at the end of "Stella Dallas." She hadn't had this habit earlier in the film. One certainly doesn't see anyone walking down the street doing it. Just wondering if it has meaning and can be explained.

A much better tribute than the one by Jennifer Jason Leigh

Being a significant source of material in the Time Warner inventory TCM sings praise. Usually comes off angry to me in pictures. Perhaps a difficult child hood carried into acting.
