&x[n] gives the address of element x[n] Where *x[n] gives the value stored in the address x[n]. Let us assume that address of x[n] is 1000 and value of x[n] is 4 and 10 is stored in address 4. &x[n] is 1000. *x[n] is the value stored in the address 4 that is 10.
