It's not just the money you're saving, it's the simplicity of futures that is appealing. Come tax time it's so damn complicated if you're in a taxable account and you have to account for all these wash sales and the amount of time that takes. I remember it making me CRAZY to have to do that accounting and even though the software can do a lot of that for you it doesn't get rid of the fact you have to still pay attention to it.

I've been scrolling & scanning different tax requirements for most markets in various articles thru Google, futures is definitely something different indeed. Options are cool for sure but the 60/40% capital gains difference with futures is quite relieving (for now haha). Thanks for dropping this on the subject.
