TD Jakes Sermons: Love Has No Loopholes Part 1

What is the greatest commandment of all? To love God with “all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” Get ready for a life-transforming message from this T.D. Jakes sermon, “Love Has No Loopholes.”
In the passage where Jesus reveals the greatest of all commandments, He is having a philosophical discussion with a lawyer. The lawyer is placing the Messiah under scrutiny and looking for loopholes, but Jesus responds with an insightful and timeless lesson.
This commandment, T.D. Jakes says, holds absolute preeminence because if we truly love God with all our heart, soul and mind, then everything else will fall into place. More important than right or wrong, the love of God will inform all our actions and reactions, every choice, every response!
This 100 percent love of God, however, is a challenge. Bishop Jakes assures us that since God commands us to love Him this way, He also enables us to love others accordingly.
T.D. Jakes then expounds on Jesus’ following commandment: “love your neighbor as yourself.” When the lawyer asks, “Who is my neighbor?” Jesus’ answer is the story of the good Samaritan.

Where do you draw the line you can love your neighbor as you love yourself and your mate but what do you do when the love you give makes you drained bc they don’t know God to Love you back in a way u won’t feel like you don’t love yourself

Follow the commandments . Love God with all your heart and soul. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. So what I get from that is Love yourself enough to know when it’s time to love from afar . Set boundaries communicate your feelings the key to loving your neighbor is you have to love yourself first. Take care of your needs, health, peace etc..until your needs are met you can never really have enough love for anyone else. It’s weird how that works when you think about it loving and taking good care of yourself is loving others be kind gentle and loving towards God and yourself will spill over to how you treat others there will be no resentment bc you are taken care of . 💗
