Mw2019 considered the kar98 a "marksman rifle" so the actual sniper would have been the AX-50 or HDR, while going back to "marksman rifles" the spr 208 was also widely picked for it's speed(usually in hard-core matches), the Kar 98k is still good tho

People hated it for no specific reason at all, only because it was a futuristic COD game. Infinite warfare is probably one of the most unluckiest and underrated game ever, pretty sad. I bought the legacy edition right after it came out, and just a couple of months later there was literally nobody in the servers, it’s impossible to find a server today unfortunately.

Actually no it's its own rifle designation category. A sniper rifle is a heavy long distance shooting typically higher caliber weapon system made for precision. In Black Ops 1 I preferred the WA2000 over the L96. Yes I know the L96 had greater one-shot kill capabilities, being able to one hit from the belly-up rather than from the chest up, but if you were good at aiming the same could be achieved with WA2000, but the WA2000 was also semi-auto.
