Sounds like this may have been the most important battle of the entire WWII. Consider if the Germans never wasted a firetruck full of fuel in this battle? Would an extra tanker of fuel changed Rommel's fortune at Al Alamein or been helpful during the Battle of the Bulge?

Imagine, that Germany never paid Poland for all those monstrosities. Russia on behalf of Poland, which it ruled at that time, renounced any claims. Germany received prize, that was Marshall Plan and Poland didn't even get any compenstation. For example Jewish people received a new country, Israel. What a sad history for Poland.
