Ionic hair dryers make my hair greasy. I couldn't figure out why at first until I took back the T3 dryer I had and bought a ceramic one. I tried a few other ionic ones with the same result. They also don't do much for volume. The best hair dryer IMO is one with an ion switch. I have an Avanti Turbo and I blow dry my hair until it's pretty much dry then switch on the ions for the last minute or two. That tends to smooth my hair without making the oils in my scalp go crazy or my hair totally flat.

The negative ion thing isn’t going to have that much of an impact on making the hair flatter to be honest. I’d just suggest using something like a mousse or sea salt spray as a prestyler to add volume, and get that high heat going 👍🏻

@johnantonopoulous63814 жыл бұрын
That is not how power works. 15 amp max because the plug standard x 120v = 1800w max but you are not allowed to make any device over 80% of max for more than 30 sec so 1440w max. Unless you are in a 220v country of course. The plug would need to have a horizontal and vertical pin with a ground to be any higher than that in the US.
@MissSanaBA5 жыл бұрын
I really have thick waivy hair and tried Braun Satin Hair hairdryer but didn't gave me a salon brushing like I used to have and it's 2200watt. I felt like it's only used to dry but not to style. So in this case would you recommend a 3000 watt hair dryer?
@TDMStyle5 жыл бұрын
2200 watts is still pretty powerful - 3000 is like salon grade. But really that’s just the power, which can certainly help to dry faster but not necessarily aid styling. Best thing I can suggest is make sure you’re using a condenser nozzle. If you are in the market for a new drier though, I highly recommend the Dyson. It’s expensive, but incredible. I’ll never go back to a regular drier after using mine.

What's the deffrence between Ceramic Ionic dryers and Ceramic only dryer ? because every time i search for ceramic hair dryer only , i found that they use ionic techonlogy with it , and i don't want to have ionic in my next hair dryer purchase , because i have flat and fine hair , and ionic damaged my hair even worse , how should i deal with that ? i found it difficult to find only ceramic hair dryer here where i live
@TDMStyle3 жыл бұрын
Pretty much every hair dryer incorporates ionic technology now. I'm not really sure how that could have damaged your hair more to be honest, it's meant to be less damaging due to the way it helps break up water droplets and dry the hair more quickly with less heat.
@syphaxxxxx3 жыл бұрын
@@TDMStyle I'm gonna explain how ionic damaged my hair , i've been using Babyliss hair dryer for over 5 years , it's an old one and as i remember it's writing on it (ceramic ionic) , and after years of using my hair was good with a lot of volume and everything was going good , after that my Babyliss get and issues and i was forced to buy a new hair dryer , and then i decided to purchase (Braun - Satin Hair 7 HD785 SensoDryer with IONTEC) and after 2month of using this new hair dryer , i noticed that my hair get flat and thin and without volume , and my hair start falling , i did some research about negative and positive ions and i found that ionic technology may make your hair flat and without a lot of volume , that's why i decided to buy another new hair dryer , but this time i didn't want any ionic tech with my next purchase , i searched for ceramic only , but i didn't find here where i live, i found some hair dryers as (Remington with Keratin Therapy , and also TOURMALINE , TITANIUM , PEARL CERAMIC , and more .. ) i don't know what that mean exactly since i'm just looking for ceramic only dryer , and i just want my hair volume get back, i hope if you can give me some suggestions and help about that, thank you :)
@TDMStyle3 жыл бұрын
That sounds to me less like "damage" and more like the Braun hair dryer is just not good quality. You said yourself that your original Babyliss dryer had ionic technology also and you had no problems with it. The idea that negative ion technology makes your hair "more flat" is only somewhat true - they are referring to that fact that, generally speaking, if your hair is smoother, it might have less volume (because it will have a less coarse texture to it). However, this is really blown out of proportion and is not really the case. Volume and more so related to the temperature used, and the styling techniques. If you use cold air with the dryer, you'll get a smoother result, but less volume. Hotter air, maybe slightly less smooth, but the hair will be more pliable and can work in more volume. I really think you're going to be hard-pressed to find a dryer these days that does not include negative ion technology - there really is no reason to go without it. As far as all those others you mentioned (tourmaline, titanium, etc) - those are all just other various coatings that are used on the heating elements. In my experience they really don't make too big of a difference unless you're talking about a professional-level dryer. I would suggest getting rid of that Braun dryer - they are not really known for making good heated styling tools. Babyliss on the other hand, is very much known for making good styling tools. I would say just buy another Babyliss if you had good luck with your previous one. The quality of the hair dryer will make all the difference. Personally ever since I got my Dyson Supersonic, nothing else even comes close to being as good. But, they are expensive, so if you don't wanna spend that much money, go with Babyliss.
