What I love about Japanese fan merchandise vs American fan merchandise is the Japanese merchandise is very all ages inclusive. I mean everybody from Grandmother (Salior Moon silk shawl) Mom (Cream colored High end purses and ladies wallets) in America it's pretty much just for younger fans under 21.

I've never thought about that! I dont go to parks in the US but i have noticed that a lot of the fan cafes in japan in videos have limited edition purses and jewlery which are so worth the money compared to kiddie knick knacks

I suppose the merchandise type here in Japan is also vary based on the age range of the fandom itself. Sailor Moon is very well known with all age range, hence the very wide range of merch as well. Usually for newer series they only got acrylic standee, can badges and clearfile I guess?? The more interesting category is definitely Detective Conan, heck they even got toaster and detergent container as merch 😂

That’s kind of true about the US! Recently even though I’m 27 I still Buy cute stuff that is probably just for a little girls because I like it. Why can’t I be cute too? So I just buy it for myself

I am so so sad we can't travel for this! I was there for the 2019 event, and had planned to go to all the others. Thanks for showing us Sailor Moon fans and collectors this that can't travel to Japan atm.

Sailor moon merchandise that includes the outer scouts is like finding a Silver crystal! I was really hoping they would have the Little Fruit Fountain pens or the Eye liner pens. Probably some of my most favourite merchandise

I find it interesting that the art work for the merchandise and the virtual experience stuck with the 90's design over the reboots.

Read a Japanese article a couple of years ago that said the reboot merchandise didn't do well at all when it first came out. Even kids preferred merchandise with the older art style. That's ultimately why they tried to revamp the design of Eternal to look more like the 90s anime design--in order to up the merchandise sales.

Luna! Oh my goodness the presentation of the food! That would be worth every cent! Loved the merch with the OG rendering of the characters, especially the little cakes box design.

Amazing! The packaging is gorgeous, I'd buy some of these just to save those. It's also really nice that all of the merchandise is transparent about what's inside, no dirty tricks to catch you off guard. The food looks wonderful, I'd love to try it! I'm the type to be restless until I try something, even if I know it's not gonna be that great sometimes. The presentation for everything is spot on and it makes me want to fly over there.

LUNA: i am a sailor moon fan aswell i really loved ypur video abput the sailor moon celebratiom event in the snowy mountain place with all the pretty lights everywhere. My fav in this video had to be the food presentation it was just so pretty!! Japan os smart they know people will pay more for themed foods even when the food taste isnt different xd

I remember doing to Cool Summer Japan USJ in 2019, except there was different merchandise, still a lot of fun, I regret not going on the AOT ride tho. I also had the sailor moon lunch set but yours looks a lot like lunch, mine just had a salad like yours and then this weird fruit bread thing

I would absolutely love to try those desserts! They were so artfully put together. There were also several items in the gift shop I want. You called it mean, but I'm a sucker for blind bags. Great for trading with friends. I saw a lot of Luna merch, but I didn't see anything for Artemis.
