Hey Chris, what’s the word in the street/news etc about the effects on tourism with Japan’s borders still closed? Are residents just enjoying quieter, cleaner less crowded parks hehe, seems that Disney is doing just fine in Japan.

Everyone is going about their lives as normal. I haven't heard much talk about not having tourists. The Parks here are still busy without inbound tourism, so not much has changed there since parks are still limited in capacity (last I checked anyway it keeps changing and I've stopped checking). I'm a sucker for plush. The Minnie 🌸sakura🌸 plush keychain/pin was adorable but a little strange she was the only character featured. The baby pink tsum tsums are my favorite! So sad tsums aren't popular in the states anymore.

🌸🤍Sakura🤍🌸 It's hard to choose specifically what stuff I love, but I'm really into the pastel Toy Story and the Sakura-themed Minnie merch. It's all so cute! I also love the light blue lace Minnie ears. I didn't expect them to be ¥1700! They're cheaper than the ears that are sold in the Disney parks in the U.S.! The ones I got from my last Disney World trip were like 20‐something, and those are the cheaper ones! Also, the apple pie sticks look so good. If I ever get my first trip to Japan within the next few years, I hope they still have them so I can try them too 😋

To my knowledge the merchandise is all designed by OLC, the company that owns and operates the Disney Parks in Japan. So there's little say from Disney itself.

Usually at the beginning of February. The best place to check is the TDR website, in Japanese, as they post everything there and when it's coming. *Does anyone know if there’s a website or someone who sells items from these Tokyo Disney parks ie, Tokyo Disneyland/Tokyo Disney sea to people outside of Japans and ships it to them?* They would make a killing if they became more known. I love Disney world merchandise, but like 🥺 every time I go the items aren’t nearly as cute and as worth wild as Japans Disney Merchandise. I wouldn’t dare spend much more than 100 on Disney items in Florida, but you bet believe I’d spend well over 500 on merchandise at Japans Disney.
