Then a lead singer who will perform all this music with his selected band! And that would be the only music we would have to listen to for four years! And we just have to accept whatever those libertarians put out on the streaming services! I’m all in on trying out a federal rock band for at least one term! Well, she's being accused of a deficiency she can't do anything about. Having lived in Iowa for a semester I can tell you- there's no reason why anyone would want to move there, yet an accusation that Iowa is keeping itself white somehow through racism always seems to underlie this observation about their lack of diversity, and it isn't quite fair or true.

As a 30+ year Iowan, we shouldn't be first. Storm Lake is pretty diverse, and Iowa City is a UNESCO World Literacy site, but that's about it. The rest have been voting against their own best interests for generations. It's maddening to watch unfold.

What’s hard is seeing how this has aged four years later. Back then they were full of hope with all the Dems in town and with the near neck-and-neck tie of Bernie & Mayor Pete (w/Buttigieg edging over Sanders). That gave us all a lot of hope. And, of course, we are grateful that at least Biden won over Trump in 2020. But now fast forward four years. After all that has transpired since 1/6/21, it is utterly depressing that Iowa Conservatives haven’t learned squat. They STILL chose Trump. I suppose I hoped that the GOP in Iowa were better people than they turned out to be. No, I don’t think most of the candidates are much better than Trump (certainly not Haley or DeSantis). But I still hoped they’d at least choose ANYONE but him.

He rarely offered the insight that made me a fan of the show under Jon Stewart. You talk like everyone was a huge fan. The show's viewership sank by 65% during his tenure. He was mediocre, that's it.
