That's the biggest problem yeah, same thing happened with the Lunar Overture UGCs. Event released, UGC unlocked, went to bed and when I checked back the following morning most were gone. I still got the crown for the Obby, but it kinda sucks that they keep doing this with such low numbers to who can actually get the reward.

hidden wave requires rng to trigger, as depending on if the fallen king summons and if the jesters behind the fallen guardians buff them. 45 seconds to trigger it is extremely hard for the more casual players, and it becomes much harder with the fallen guardians. getting to 1 hp is hard enough (militant is amazing for this though), and when you mess up it’s right at the start of the match. remember that most games average 27 MINUTES. that’s a long time for you not killing the fallen king fast enough.

The only hard part is 1hp, you just have to set your accelerators and rangers to strongest on wave 40, place flags on the end of wave 39, and set everything back to first during the cutscene. Then, you micro, and win. Its made for high leveled players Also please don’t bring militant, use gsoldier instead, militant is a HUGE waste of space at late game

From what i have heard and said myself, with only 48 people being rewarded the reward, there is literally no point in doing hw . Quickdraw and lost souls gives an exclusive skin and you don't see anyone doing said challenges after getting said skin . For hw whats the point of wasting time to find a good team to leak down to 1 hp just to get one third of the gems you would get for hardcore. The reward should just be a one time thing like it is in the other modes to encourage players to get it . Without a reward a maximum of 32 people will try to get the badge and then no-one will try it again . Another complaint i have seen is that if you weren't in a few certain time zones you had no chance of competing which is pretty sad for most of the player base

I agree. I think that reward systems that are limited to less than 1% of a playerbase is kinda a crappy thing. I think that just because youtubers have more connections doesn’t make it right for them to automatically have a much higher chance of getting the skin than others. Plus, there’s the people that don’t have twitter or aren’t in the discord and don’t have any way to find people to play with. The whole thing really relies on “who’s the most popular and who spends the most time on the discord” instead of “who finds out an intricate puzzle first.”

I didn't really care much for the exclusive skin itself. What makes me mad is the lack of proper rewards if you didn't happen to be the first 48 to beat it. The only rewards you get is just a badge that changed the fallen difficulty button from blue to purple and some gems. It's honestly a similar problem the limited ugcs had in the lunar overture event, but even more extreme. Seriously, did the devs really not think about adding some more rewards? Like a good chunk of this community did this entire hunt to try to find out how to even unlock hidden wave, and the biggest (and frankly only meaningful) reward can only be enjoyed by less than .1% of the playerbase. What really strikes me down personally from ever even attempting to do this new hidden wave is that you don't get the glitch tag from beating unlike old HW. The glitch tag has to be my favorite tag that I unfortunately didn't get because I never knew it would be a thing and that HW would be removed. If I had known the glitch tag would have been a thing before the removal of the old HW, I would have done it in a heartbeat. I mean, come on, as someone who's internet persona is "MrGlitchy" and is a hardcore tds player, it would have seemed like a perfect match. Sadly I shoved it off to the side to do other stuff like polluted wastelands, hardcore grinding, and badlands. The fact that the glitch tag isn't rewarded upon beating this new hidden wave, is a major letdown. At least for me. I won't be adding this badge to my collection any time soon.

The reason I don’t like it is that You need 4 or 3 players, implied by 40, 48 thing and, that’s very annoying to do if your friends suck or they don’t play tds, and trying to do public matches, is horrible

I quite enjoy hidden wave but the only thing i dislike is the hp count, the numbers and 45 seconds is enough to me and getting to 1 hp can feel more like a trial then getting to hidden wave itself but thats probably just me

I'm more or so mad about how difficult it is to get your base health to 1 hp. There's a 200 base health cap for fallen mode, so if you're level 300, you'll only gain as much extra health as a level 250 player. The thing is, not everybody is level 250+, and since the levels are averaged in quads to calculate the base health, your team's base health could be any number from 101 to 199, or in other words, COMPLETELY RANDOM. So the part where you get yourselves to one health? Yeah, you & your team have to IMPROVISE that. BRUH, JUST MAKE EVERYBODY AUTOMATICALLY START WITH 200 BASE HEALTH!

I’m most upset about how fallen matchmaking is working right now. heres why hw is a disgrace to tds: 1. the step that u have to get to 1 hp is painfull and considering that it doesnt even make you get the wave guaranteed pisses me off 2. they couldve just made like it was before, so speedrunning fallen could actually have a purpose besides flexing 3. people thinking they can do it on random matchmaking without any kind of strat just fills the fallen queue with a bunch of dumbasses that will leave your lobby the second you do something that isnt towards gettng hw When the steps for hw werent discovered yet it was genuinelly cool seeing people gathering up to discover it, but now playing with quad matchmaking is painfull
