Titus, also called Maximus in cutscenes, was the final boss of Failed Gateway, the first night of the Hexscape Event. It had a high amount of health and a fairly fast speed when compared to other bosses.
It had two abilities. The first was Techno-Vampirism, where Titus would windup and attack several towers in proximity. This would apply a 150% firerate debuff to them and regenerate its own health by 15 for each tower attacked at rapid speed. Its second ability, Cult Following, made it summon five Neuro Runners and five Bloated Brain Bounds, all with a 0.2 second delay between each spawn. Additionally, Titus itself would temporarily gain the Aggro and Tank attributes, while also gaining a permanent 5% defense increase.
Titus had tan skin, with a part of its face being purple. Its right arm was replaced with a mechanical arm, which had three claws and a laser blaster in it. It had blond hair. It wore a khaki shirt and blue pants, alongside brown shoes. On its left arm, it had a metal shoulder-pad, multiple brown bandages, brown glove and black brass knuckles with spikes. It also wore a purple bandanna. On its torso, it had a large brown belt connected to a brown armor piece, which protected part of its mechanical arm that was connected to the torso. It had a brown belt with pouches and a grey plate with "4OBIA" written on it. It also had grey knee-pads.
● Due to the low amount of waves to prepare, it is recommended to use more cost effective towers against Titus, such as the Golden Soldier, Militant or Engineer.
○ In Easy mode, Titus has a lot less health, so it should not be a big issue. The DPS options that the preset loadouts contain should take care of it easily.
● You may bring support towers such as the DJ Booth and Commander to help boost your towers.
● Military Base is also a good option against Titus, due to the high health Units dealing lots of collision damage. The high health units are also a great counter for Cult Following, as the units will buffer the enemies spawned in, helping reduce the effectiveness of the Aggro modifier.
● It is recommended to place a few towers as distraction so that Titus uses the Techno-Vampirism on them instead of your DPS towers.
