WTF why is the first song actually emotional, wow this could genuinely be something new, like the melancholic ambient sound at like the minute mark felt like if corecore became a musical genre, would love to see more albums like this in the future. Using internet memes and reference points to make powerful music feels like the perfect encapsulation of 21st century metamodernism.

I can't stop watching this since it dropped and every time I'm shocked it doesn't have 2M views yet. This is the same magic I felt when I heard OPN for the first time a decade and change ago. Genuinely such a special and unique project.

the concept of making ytp not as covers to existing songs but to make them into completely original ones is just. this is so good. i cant get over this ive probably looped this 20 times

I can hear huge Good Looking Records influences on The King. Top Zero Moments and Chroma Keyer def reminds me of OPN's Replica. I wonder what was the approach for tracks such as Viral Marketing Stunt and Draft Quarter. Very nice plunderphonics overall, i'm glad such projects exist.
@tdstr4 ай бұрын
Viral Marketing Stunt was inspired by artists like Tim Hecker and some space ambient artists like Steve Roach and Jonn Serrie. Draft Quarter was mainly inspired by glitch/microsound songs from artists like Ryoji Ikeda and Alva Noto. Thank you for listening!

very interested in checking this out, ive thought about the idea of heavily ytpmv inspired music production rather than just mashuppy and such before. looking forward to listening ❤

I don't even have the words to describe this album. It's weird, it's genius, it's even kind of scary at times? Amazing work, once again.
