That was the most I've heard Ritchie speak! Glad you guys managed to have a dry day.

Phew! I was on the edge of my seat, thinking you guys were going in again. Glad you made it to camp safe and dry!

It was a mentally tight day for us for sure!

What an adventure within an adventure! Definitely got a sense of danger when you guys capsized and the gopro was filming under water! Congrats for getting through those challenges. It will be satisfying to look back on achieving the challenge of canoeing the Whanganui river!

I suppose it will be possible to feel satisfaction with the events of the river...but I still remember too much! 😁

Maybe relief it's over is a better description than satisfaction!

Good evening Mate..this canoeing definitely has been rather intense hasn't it lol but always extremely beautiful.

So glad that’s over!!! Beautiful place but would rather enjoy it from the bank

@@freedom_on_the_trail +lol I would to mate, going over would be my biggest fear even as much as I love swiming and have swam in rabids, the anxiety of tipping over is another kind of scary.,

Did Juliette capsize? Are the single canoes more stable than the double? Well done you guys for getting through the river section!
@freedom_on_the_trail Жыл бұрын
She did not. The kayaks are certainly more stable. But you only get to take one IF you just can’t find someone else to go with. And then you have to stick with a canoe for safety. And the canoe has to carry your barrels. So there are trade offs.

That type of hat doesn’t float speaking from experience. In the nineties I lost two on school camps and yes by getting tipped out of canoes

I wonder what a scuba diver would find on that river
@warrenskill14874 ай бұрын
Those Kayaks you are in have terrible balance and having wieght in front makes it easily tip

Yep. Pretty unstable things. I suppose they’re faster in still water but not good in rough water.
