"The key to longevity is not dying young" # ¡ what an overwhelming logic profe !. 😊.

Hi profe, how've you been ?. Great video profe, And you're right profe, one of the reasons why we can't understand the spoken English is "lack of vocabulary" and sometimes we don't get the sense of the one we already know. # But the most important thing is the lack of practice too, sometimes we don't speak the language as often as we should. And we gotta practice our auditive comprehension as well, what the natives call "listening". # You may know a lot of vocabulary but if you don't put it into practice you just forget it, as simple as that. Thanks for the video lesson profe. 👍.

"You get these athletes in prime shape to die young and these fast food eating chain smokers who live to be 100 years, Life's a gamble". I wouldn't say life's a gamble. I would say; That's one of the reasons I believe there's an almighty being who rules things in this world. And if this almighty being wants you to live longer till you get to be 100 years or more, you'll live longer, no matter the conditions or situations.

La expresión ( have good genes , live in a first world nation will make you to live a long time ,) se oye como con sarcasmo , puesto que no es realmente verdad 😂 . Precioso trabajo como siempre , muchas gracias Profesor .

La parte final donde enseñas a leer, entonces es así como debemos practicar y así podremos mejorar el listening??

Buenas profe. En el video 173 de tu curso de inglés, usaste "infinito" después del "to be. MY GOAL "IS TO MASTER" THE ENGLISH LENGUAGE. Parace que nadie se dio cuenta de eso... ¿No se deberia de usar el gerundio?. Se que la pregunta no tiene nada que ver con este video pero te agradecería que aclararas la duda. Muchas gracias.
@EnSimplesPalabras5 ай бұрын
Ambas formas son correctas. Aunque pienso que en ese tipo de declaracion el TO se usa mas.
@ivanoutesoutes48955 ай бұрын
@@EnSimplesPalabras y yo que tenía entendido que siempre se usaba gerundio después del to be, menos cuando se daba una orden como por ejemplo: we will hide and you are to find us.. como para dar instrucciones de algo. Podrías hacer un vídeo con los usos del infinitivo después del to be. Sería de gran ayuda. Gracias profe. Sigo aprendiendo

If the verb is functioning as the subject, the correct expression is; - MasterING the English language is my goal. # BUT, we can also say; - My goal is masterING the English language. # put it as the object of the sentence. > I guess It's just a matter of Grammar rules. But, like the profe texted; "is TO master" ain't sound bad at all, it even sounds natural.

Profe', una pregunta. Cómo podemos traducir al inglés «Qué tal carrazo». Tengo entendido que aquí no debería funcionar «such», pero oí angloparlantes diciendo «Such a house», y supongo que informalmente significa «Qué tal casa». Entonces, ¿la frase inicial podria ser «Such a great (or nice) car»? Muchas gracias, de antemano.
@EnSimplesPalabras5 ай бұрын
Puedes decirlo asi. Aunque muchos prefieren empezar con "that's.." , "that's such a nice car", pero puedes acortarlo. O tambien puedes usar "what a nice car!"

I would add to that list, the fact of not having any type of vices that might affect your heath. Because you might not have good genes and live in a first world nation with access to quality medical care. But the fact of not having vices can help you a lot to live longer. # Don't you think profe ?.

Sure. My family have good genes. My parents lived both till their nineties (my dad 97, my mom 96), but at the same time, they didn't drink, smoke o eat too much. I'm trying to do the same. I recently lost almost 30 pounds, and I weigh nearly as much as I weighed when I was in my 20s.
@fredylopez24775 ай бұрын
@@EnSimplesPalabras According to what you said profe you've got a great chance of living to be 97 too. 👍.

@@fredylopez2477 Would that be a good thing? My mom was so consumed by old age. On the other hand, my dad fared better. His mind was sharp almost till the end. When he realized that my mom was gone, two days later, his body went into shock. He was bedridden. Couldn't speak or eat by himself. Died after 2 weeks.
