Te Wānanga o Aotearoa turns 30

Its founders mortgaged their homes to kick-start the idea. Byt many were against the idea of a Māori tertiary institution. However, today Te Wānanga o Aotearoa marked its 30th year and it’s now the biggest Māori tertiary provider in the country with more than 30,000 students enrolled.
