I love how you talk to your sewing machine in a soft-spoken voice; "now you go over there". Think it shows how much you care. Thanj you for inspiring me. Will try the tea cozy and oven mitten one!

Hello Debbie, Thank you for the clear instructions and how to measure for any size teapot. The bias binding on the bottom was genius. I tried someone else's idea, and these old hands old hands couldn't handle the massive bulk. Very easy to follow along with you. I am definitely going to look into your books. I would like to suggest, when stitching around the outside of the of the cozy that you mark the openings for the ribbon and back stitch before and after the marks without actually closing it. No seam ripping. I have been doing gathering by using my widest width zig zag over an upholstery thread (it wont break), and anchor it to the fabric at then beginning, pull the upholstery thread and adjust the gathering. A drapery maker and upholsterer taught me this method. I do hope you try it. Have a Happy Valentines Day.

That is adorable! Another way to keep your ribbon from fraying is run a lit match or lighter across the end. It kinda melts so that it doesn't fray!

I love this cozy and the pattern looks fairly easy to follow. I didn’t see where the batting was added. It appeared to me the two fabrics were placed right sides together and sewn together without the batting.

Thanks so much for taking the time to show us how to make the cozy from your new book. Will it be available in the US also? I wanted to ask you where you got your adorable little scissors from? I always wondered why you didn't use smaller scissors to cut your threads? I know that you sew clothing so I just figured that was why but I adore your little scissors!! Again Congratulations on the book!!
@debbieshore7 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The book will be in the States at some point, I'll try and find out when, and I'll use the sharpest scissors I have to hand, usually the biggest ones! These little things I got on E Bay from China...
