I just heard this on the radio…stopped me from what I was doing…choked me right up thinking about my dad…who is now gone…and my mother…who is still here, and all she has done for young children. Thank you.

Same...my 93 old dad passed a month ago...for some reason I was not choked up about it (like the rest of my family was), thought there was something wrong with me... Well, this tune helped a lot..❤❤

Same here. Was driving along when this came on the radio. Made me write down her name. She deserves much success.

How can you not weep performing this every time. The music alone was enough but adding the lyrics definitely sent it over the edge. What a moving, beautiful piece.

So glad I had npr on this morning. Heard this and from the first note you sing with the strings behind seriously hit an emotion not many songs can do. Your song made me remember the memories of my mom who passed from brain cancer in 2018. Thank you for this beautiful song!

Celtic chant with stringed instruments pulling on my heart strings. Transports me to a steep ocean inlet listening to musical echoes 🥰

Man oh man this hits somewhere so deep in me, I keep bawling like a baby. Your song digs up the grief from the loss of my BFF/husband from 2017. So glad I heard this on NPR last week Thank you so much for this.

I heard your song on NPR 2 weeks ago, and I can't stop thinking about it. It's so beautiful, and most of all--beautifully performed.. It brings back so many memories of wonderful experiences in the past. Is there a copy of the lyrics somewhere? And maybe chords? Can I purchase?
@ollellamusic14 күн бұрын
Hi @janice6541 - the lyrics are posted in the description. We have sheet music - feel free to contact me if you'd like a copy - though have yet to post a chord chart. The chords are mostly D and G though if you want to figure it out by ear :)

There is something so touching, memorable, and cathartic about this piece. I wouldn’t be able to perform it without crying. Indeed, I bawled my eyes out listening to it, but I keep coming back to it because it’s also soothing and so unlike anything I’ve heard.

Thanks so much for your sweet comment. It took me 6 months of practicing this song to be able to play it without crying, and sometimes it still happens during a performance out of the blue ❤

Simply lovely. So enjoy your music. At times it sounds similar to Scottish traditional . Really hope you do it this time.
