Tea Pot Handle Maker - Frank Watts (1979)

Frank Watts working at Sellers Wheel Yard on Arundel Street sets up on his last day of work before retiring from the teapot handle trade. He finishes the process by attaching the cast handle to a famous Sheffield plate teapot, and just like that his workshop and the family company of five generations, draws to a close.
One of the series of South Yorkshire County Council sponsored films commissioned from Sheffield Independent Film and the Sheffield City Polytechnic to document ‘little mester’ trades. This film was No.8 in the series entitled 'Trades & Crafts'.
