I must say that Mr. Stanchfield is to be highly commended for his outstanding work at hunting down these incredibly rare cartoons and actually taking the time to make them available on youtube like this! Many thanks, Steve! For those who are wondering, yes, this is the same guy who directed "Picnic Panic" and the teapots have more than a close resemblance to the tea pot in "Picnic Panic", he directed both cartoons ... as well as "Sunshine Makers", hence, the resemblance to the "gloomies"in Sunshine Makers! I didn't even know of the existence of this cartoon. I'm just happy to see this, "splices" and all!!!

Steve has previously acknowledged that the LOC's print is missing footage and that there are more complete prints out there; hopefully he can gain access to one so that a fully restored complete version can be featured on a future Thunderbean release :)

Yes, this is somewhat similar in concept to "The Sunshine Makers", which Eshbaugh co-directed with Burt Gillett at Van Beuren the year before.
