For how long did the monks of the Jingshan Temple meditate - in other words, for how long did the tea need to keep them awake during their meditation session?

On the subject. There is only one way to boil an egg. The Tea Ceremony, man risen above a beast of burden. Or, Tea Ceremony Western trad', man risen above Man Friday. Tea a natural progression from water -Song Dynasty notwithstanding.

When translating foreign language, dubbing (in video)is not necessary.

Love the pictures, but the esoteric stuff is not my cup of tea so to say. Anyone saying they can taste intelligence in tea will believe that pigs fly too.

Humility. Hard times, ancient history, people trying to survive on the land looking for ways to help the sick, feed the hungry and keep the family alive. Intelligence? The fact that somebody actually spent the time and effort to discover the herbs and items in the natural landscape; leaves of trees, plants, insects, and what could be made of them, their biologic distinctiveness, to provide for those people that they cared for in the hard times. Pigs flying? Don't you doubt it!

At first I thought this too, but now after watching I’m like maybe it’s more about tea that tastes so delicious that it makes one contemplate such things 🤷♂️

Like it says, they believe it goes to their dead relatives. It's quite often the ones who have the least that give the most. I don't think we can criticise over here in the western world where we know most of our clothes come from hours of labour from those who have next to nothing, yet we still pay very little for them. At least what they're doing in this annual ceremony is coming from a place of generosity.

They aren't 'giving' though, or being generous. They are setting their own possessions on fire
