I don't like black coffee because it is just crushed beans in water, in my eyes, combining 2 food and drinks together is to create a new taste, a new drink. But black coffee is just liquid coffee beans because water has no flavor. That is why I like milk added to mine with creamer and chocolate syrup. I don't drink it hot either, I like to make it cold and ice.
