Defending is all about reading the play, don't necessarily tackle or ''intercept'' but fall down along with his run. It's about buying time for you players to get closer, that way it's easier to defend because your players are closer. Defending is easy when you do this

Hey Behzinga. For defending just pre slide when they are on the wing before they get into the box. When they get in the box just use left trigger and try and stay in front of them. At the top of the box I would pre slide still but you can do a standing tackle if you want it's really preference when it's at the top of the box

hold A while u defend so ur player will keep up with the enemy and then press X/B if u r playing with alternate or classic to make the tackle. but note don't ever slide tackle just tackle in the perfect timing to get the ball. good luck!! and pls make a fut draft to glory or something.

A tip to defend. Try spamming B when the opposition trys using skill or turns to finese. more likely to get a foot in and try to play Y balls down the line or centre if you have a small team up top (Messi for example) but try and use long balls over the top when having big/strong players when your on a counter attack ( Benzema/Lewandowski for example) & i think the draft account is good idea and should be called SmartDraft series because you have to smart to choose good rating and chemistry + try and be more creative with the draft now Team of the Season is out so try and create like BPL draft or Bundesliga as it makes a difference ( keep your chin up about losing matches, its a troll game so dont feel disheartened coz theres always an excuse to get u out the shit lol)

when defending down the side i usually hold A (Xbox) or X (PS4) to contain when they are sprinting down the side, then if they slow down and turn i would go in for a tackle B (Xbox) X (PS4) only when the timing is right though. If i need extra Defence i hold RB (Xbox) or R1 (PS4) to bring an extra player down to contain the attack and then tackle when in position. That usually works for me and if need be i bring the keeper out which hasn't happened too many times. But yeah there you go Behz !

I don't usually play FIFA 16, but it's actually kind of simple to defend against players. When you're running with a player, just strafe with him, wait until the other player decides to run around and tackle. Sadly, it'll be hard to do most of these defensive moves to save yourself from conceding because EA made referee's VERY strict on fouls, and sometimes they don't call the foul when it actually is one. And I've noticed that you're more of an attacking player when it comes to FIFA, Behzinga. Honestly, nothing wrong with that. Only thing you need to be careful of is rushing TOO much. Just touch and pass. Control the ball around tight spaces, and trick the opponent into thinking you're doing other things while in reality you're trying to start an attacking play. You're not that bad. It's just EA did horribly this FIFA. Keep up the great effort, and keep yourself up. You're a very funny guy to watch on KZbin, and it'd be a shame to see you upset when you're recording. Keep doing what you're doing, and thumbs up from me. =) And for this video, I'm now a subscriber.

Tips for defending: When u get the ball in the box, clear it always don't mess around and give silly goals away. Defending down the line, press B to stick a leg out and kick the ball away instead of running into the player and bouncing it on again.

Hey Behzinga. Here's some defensive tips for you, When someone is running through the pitch, run to him and tap B repeatedly, but when he's starting to fall stop tapping. Another tip, If I man is trying to cut in, Hold the A button and hold RT, When you get to him, either press B or X. You will then have taken the ball off of the player. yo, basic defending tips, instead of just holding the A button... use the analog stick to direct the player and hold LT when you are near a player, it stops a lot more crosses and longshots, therefore giving you the possibility of a counter attack.

Tips for defending : Don't try to slide him just predict him and let him try cutting in , you should have adjusted to stop him easily . If someone runs from the wing outside the area then you can slide coming from an angle - from a division 2 player

Most people go in for the tackle right away which is what I used to do but when he gets close to the box hold LT to contain him and your defender will jockey the player and when he tries to make his move press B to tackle works 90% of the time

For defending, jockey with LT or stand one of your CB's off the man and use 2nd man press (RB) to go to the attacker and try to get the ball. This means that you have an extra line of defence

When you got 100 chem you have to choose the highest rated players, if you want to get a 190. And you have to take a formation with wingers, if you don't you won't be able to to play with Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar or Bale, the best players in the game so far. This will all change now when they will release the TOTS, cause then there will be more 90+ rated that aren't wingers. +Behzinga

Try and change your opponents style while defending , one time stay a bit back and dont run to him , and when u see he changed his style ( if he's good he will ) , go ahead and slide tackle him or sprint to him , this will put him in a quick situation where he needs to act quick , usually works against strong teams and strong players :)
