This song is unbelievably powerful! Both in its message and delivery by Sister Washington! There is such soul and conviction felt everytime she sings "Teach Me How to Wait".

As I remembered Mother Washington was never late and preached John 3:16 on everlasting life. She is respected and remembered as "Madame Ernestine Washington, of Washington Temple COGIC" who has fame seperate and collective with her husband. She was what is called today "an old school Wife" which took care of Bishop and The Temple family well. May they LIP(Live in Peace)

I agree; her voice was very unique. Most, if not all, people during this time had unique voices and they had their very own styles as well.

Lol! No, I can't give up all of my sources for various reasons, but I will help you out a bit. Not sure if you have episodes of TV GOSPEL TIME already, but if not, there's a series of CD/DVD combo sets titled EXPERIENCE GOSPEL. They used to be available in WalMart stores, but they can be found online thru their website or Amazon as well. Each DVD has 2 episodes of the show & each CD has 20 songs. There are about 14 sets I believe.
