The main reason that I like puppy so much is that they are smart and keen learners, you can train them to do anything, they are human’s best friends, this video let me know how to train a Maltese puppy and I learn a lot from it. I am looking forward to see some more of your video soon, thanks a lot.

A trainer once told me that “down &stay” is important. He said if there was an emergency you want to be able to put your dog in a “down” “stay” and know that he or she will obey those two commands without exception. It’s a safeguard to keep them out of harm’s way until your attention is no longer needed at the emergency and can once again be focused on your dog. 😊

I think the stop or stay command might be important for times when you take him outside and he sees other dogs etc. even if he's on a leash/harness. Btw great job on this training. Not an easy job saying no to such a cutie. Those puppy dog eyes 🥺.

I like this. We are trying to also teach our 3 month old the word NO. He likes to get our stuff and have us to chase him for it. He also likes the trash cans. TFS

Where do you keep Xanti while teaching Yumi? Is Mommy entertaining him in another room?

I just got two little Maltese puppies (This past week on 4/30/22). I’m curious about learning how to spot which treats they might like. As I have two I have keep in mind that they are both different. But can you give advice on which treats to go buy. I’m in the US, Petsmart is probably the closest pet store. I started training them today with coming when called. I used their kibble and called their names, rewarding them with it once they came to it. No is next. Then sit. I’m potty training them with a crate and pen. I have the crate in the pen, but I’m thinking that I’ll take the crate out, when home, and let them in the pen area for potty, then letting them run around out of the pen once i know they at least did a #2. It’s hard for me b/c both are alone for a long period when I leave for work, so I will have to put the crate in the pen area for that time. It’s just me doing it, so I’m scratching my head at how to pull the potty training off. Having them both helps with them being lonely, but I worry while I’m at work. Sigh.
