2:25- I have had a similar experience to this. I was in my 9th grade Algebra I class when I look over and see my classmates making waffles with a waffle machine and everything. They brought fruit and whipped cream as well as plates and silverware. Neither the teachers, nor my classmates, gave a sh*t. It was glorious. 😂😂😂

At my high school (I am in college, now) the school had to shut down the bathrooms by the science rooms because students kept on vaping in them. Also, I 100% agree with you on Google Translate. It is not accurate. My middle school Spanish teacher told us not to use Google Translate. We had to take Spanish in middle school, unless there were reasons to exempt someone from taking Spanish.

One time, I was reading reviews of my school out of curiosity, and I remember seeing a review of my school that compared it to the Soviet Union. The person who wrote the review compared the principal to Joseph Stalin and referred to the principal's office as "the gulag". Honestly, I have to agree.

We did this in middle school once. They said our assistant principle dressed like a hooker. The principal also called himself a dictator. Yes I did quote Benjamin Franklin with “is it not the duty of a morally correct and free society to overthrow a dictator?” And he just stated at me like I explained quantum physics.

Nobody knows bad school meals like anyone who went to a British primary school. Everything was boiled. Everything was over-boiled to the point that not just was the taste taken out, but a new taste of "over-boiled" added in with it's own smell. We're talking even the mash potato was indigestible. How the hell do you make mash potato indigestible? At his point I'm as impressed as I am horrified. Seriously, you can walk past a British primary school at lunchtime and get Vietnam flashback PTSD just from the smell. It's like World War 2 rationing still exists nearly a century on in this country - but only in primary schools inhabited by 5-11 year old children. No wonder we're so angry all the time.

Interesting... my old high school got a review from 8 years ago where they said the school faculty were assaulting students who were in turn assaulting each other who would in turn then get assaulted by the faculty... it's been a couple of decades since I went there but I don't remember a fight club between faculty and students but I guess I'm glad I moved several states away...

In Europe, some of the bathrooms are different. There would be a sink in one area and three closed-off stalls, including men's, women's, and a stall for people who have a baby/small children/wheel chair. Especially in France, like in restaurants. I just thought of that when the Mrs. Eranton comment came up. Sorry if I worded it a bit weirdly, I am just really tired and had a long day.

I remember my junior year of high school, I had an art teacher out for all of 2 months of the year, so we had subs pretty much all year. Me and a guy I met that year in that class found a teapot in the closet. A teapot that plugged into a platform with the coil inside the pot. So we took that and made 2 packs of top Ramen. Still really good friends with him and I just turned 23.

I checked for reviews of my school, most were not bad, some were complaining about heat and AC, other than that it is a pretty average school for NJ. No one can top when I attended high school, most of the students were on friendly and first name basis with one of the janitors there. Class size wasn't big, most had 15 per room, some of my classes were between 3 to 5. They had an ESL study where junior high students had opportunities to take high school education, they would start their day at the HS then walk back to the Jr high. There were also AP courses for those wanting to attend better colleges. We even had for those who needed help with course studies. The only issues we had were the constant changing of principals. The first year the principal was paid to leave, the second year he resigned because he was confronted by parents who had children always getting into trouble, the third had a control complex where he established rules that even he couldn't even follow, and the fourth decided to close out the courses for those who really needed help, so if you lagged a bit behind in studies, you fell even further just because he wanted everyone to actually go to college.

If my son get's karate chopped I'm teaching him the Kaioken. And yeah I remember having a bit of problems with overzealous teachers and the distinction is that you have a right to leave and the teacher has the right to kick you out. I remember this because I had an English teacher getting bullied by all the near-dropouts. They would show up 40 minutes late, make a bunch of noise, then claim they weren't in class because she threw them out. Just saying we shouldn't be deceiving kids into thinking flight isn't an option when flight will save them from most violent interactions. We just have to give them a better understanding of responsibility. You can leave a classroom and go study on your own, if you leave the supervision of the school you will cause all kinds of conflict but technically you're "free" to do that too. Some kids will grow better realizing these rules are supposed to nurture them

My school was split into 2 buildings so you would have to walk outside to get to class. This was nice because it was wide open. And our school thought it would be a good idea to add a narrow hallway connecting the 2 halves together. It slowed traffic down so much

There was once a fight at my school where the “quit kid” was getting picked on … his mom passed away a week prior and one of the guys “big bully guy” made fun of his mom and the kid just got up calmly … walked over to him sitting at his desk … and the quit kid slammed the bully kids head on the desk and then walked back to his seat and just sat down … the teacher told the bully guy to go to the nurses office cause his nose was bleeding bad and once he left the teacher said to the quit kid “he had the coming but you can’t assault another student” and just took the kid to the office … the kid didn’t get in trouble at all

When I went to normal public school we got exactly the same food you get when you go to jail, but I went to a technical school for my last two years of high school and the food was handled by the restaurant services and the culinary arts classes so it was pretty good.

One of the assistant principals was the World History teacher, and about every week or two there would be a lesson that had little or nothing to do with history. The most memorable one was making improvised weapons out of newspapers and credit cards. He also showed a Cleopatra movie with some boob in it. The school as a whole was pretty typical, but I think Google Reviews of that class would have been split down the middle; 5/5 from the boys, 0/5 from the girls.

First do his 5 worst trains ever list, his done 20 of them so for and are funny, but he spends more time talking about his subjects then Sam o Neila who dose comedy skits with history flavoring.

My intermediate and middle schools were full of mold and cockroaches and didn't have air conditioning (this was in the late 90's, so not really any excuse), and the head administrators at my high school bullied the kids worse than any tv bully out there. The kids were cool, except when they were smoking pot in the bathroom; my leather jacket always smelled funky and I was too innocent at the time to know what that was. One star.
