We "flipped the classroom" back in 1978 in Tacoma at one of the nation's first magnet schools. In math class, we worked on our own, with the teacher available when needed. At the end of the week, we called out our page numbers, done. If you finished a section, you took the test and moved on. Everyone worked at their own pace.

We often forget that where we are sitting at is the land of opportunity with lots of lots of educational opportunity that brings the best out of us so we should not forget to point out the good resources we have in United States of America. We should not forget that those resources are the main cause of our independent more technical and technology wise. They are way ahead of it in the whole world. There are the pioneers of the in technology, so I believe that we should not forget, pointing that out instead of just talking about hisconnections, his abilities and that’s very inspiring too, but we should not forget that the resources of this country, the taxpayers are paying towards that, and we get all type of resources to inspire others to be more educated to educate others by with these better resources

This is the way forward.. The same class does not equal the same rate of learning..and moreover those who got that aha...will keep on moving forward, leaving the rest behind. This can make the teacher caught in a very difficult situation. I can solved 100% of the math questions where some of my classmates hardly can solve any. But in normal school classroom situation the next lesson will be new module leaving many students falling more behind ( topic #1, topic #2) while 5 to 20% can get thru every topic.

Like this for math. Hope it works for other important subjects as well. Will this be part of DOGE. Hopefully it will not get over managed with bureaucracy and monitoring; and overly push kids to be experts in everything. Still need social interaction, activity, healthy foods and this really keeps things “fair”. Great informative video and education savings.

When I ran for president I also warned the world about COVID-19 in 2020. I told the GS 15 at DOE that we needed an online education system, and it didn’t happen. Now we have the ability to actually create an AI driven education system for the entire world, and it should absolutely be free. Woot!

We need to think about that part of our real education is to talk about relationships and sex in a way that adults feel uncomfortable. All of the uncomfortable subjects that are hard for humans to talk about together need to be implemented as a part in overall education system. Learning about the Fana and Flora, wildlife around you would not only make you appreciate nature, but allow you to survive in situations where AI might go down.
@XAirForcedotcom

What’s interesting is just because someone’s sitting in class if they are too far ahead in one area the teacher could absolutely allow them to go work on assignments in areas that they may not do well in or give them more advanced concepts that would help them later on.

We will be able to use AI to deliver the most effective content to individuals once they know your particular learning style. once we get this down, then we’ll work on pre-birth education. An interesting field of study would be to see if we can give Information to the fetus. Light, sound, and haptic feedback. Your baby is born and grew with hello Bill and Marcy. : )

The whole purpose of having an education system to teach kids the food pyramids and how to not eat cookies in the morning for breakfast that they’re gonna learn at school and where money comes from is from mom and they’re gonna learn at school, however the premise of a teacher’s union is based on the fact that there are formal outpatient statistics and formal inpatient statistics for hospitals that clarify unknown causes of deaths among collective cultures and among individual species and among species of individuals and species of collective cultures by not keeping outpatient statistics blew away the STUDENTS . #POW KIA

Do you see the problem with this? When Mr. Khan needs to teach a subject he "reads 4-5 books on the subject" so he can turn around and teach it. The best way to learn something is to try to teach it. Students are not developing the critical thinking skills, the math literacy skills, while learning the math concepts. The videos are good as a supplement. But a student should be tasked with using their brain to solve the problem. Translate what was taught, demonstrated, and modelled with their brain. These kids are being trained to become DEPENDENT on others to provide answers instead of developing the skill to find their own answers. Wouldn't you like for your kids to also develop the skill to read about a topic in 4-5 different sources and piece together a solution on their own? This won't happen RELYING on the Khan system this way. Students have to struggle. It does not mean they don't get support. But they need to struggle in order to GROW and LEARN.
@bearacuda
@bearacuda Ай бұрын
In fact, a few minutes ago I just discussed with a student of mine the necessity of developing the skill to be an independent learner. That happens when answers aren't just given to you, but you work to understand and develop them yourself. In the classroom scene I saw, students are not taking notes. How is that going to work in a work environment when they are older. They will not write down instructions their bosses give them, they will expect their bosses to hold their hands and give them videos of their instructions?

This video was made in 2012. In an interview in 2016, Sal Khan stated "I think they're valuable, but I'd never say they somehow constitute a complete education." Khan Academy more positions itself as a supplement rather than a primary source of education unlike what the video depicts at the school it piloted one of its programs in. In the next clip after that you can see a student using it as a way to revisit a subject at his own pace after school, which is the approach Khan Academy is being used as today. I have personally used Khan Academy in the supplement approach and I can say that I wouldn't have been able to understand certain subjects to the extent I do today without it. In my physiology lecture class in university it was often difficult for me to process information before the professor moved on to another subject because they taught at their own pace. It was particularly difficult for me to visualize how blood moves through the heart during one class. Using one of his videos I was able to revisit the subject and learn at my own pace and dynamically imagine in my head how the blood changed direction according to the anatomy of the heart. Online videos have become an effective and convenient form of modern education that further helps comprehensive understanding of topics.
