A student was born and has always lived in HCM City. If the teacher asks ,"Where are you from?", he will very likely say, "I'm from here (!), or, "I'm from HCM City." A lot of students answer that way. Is that acceptable or natural, or instead, a short explanation, "I was born...and have always..."? Thank you.
