Trust me, as a teacher myself I know it can frustrating and can seem like it’s all for nothing but it’s really for underlying safety precautions, we just have to know where all of you are at all times and be able to monitor you. The only people who really follow the rules to the tee are the people like me who just don't have it in them to be so bad. And it even wore me out, after a while I would leave lunch just to go in my art teacher's room to eat and chill, and it wasn't until we were threatened to stay in the commons that I felt obligated again to be in there. And even then, sometimes I'd find a way to make it back to the art room.

As a teacher myself bro, it's a lot more stressful than you think it is. I used to think the same things when I was just a student but now, especially when I teach high school, some kids will just try you for no reason as if you aren't human and don't get tired or don't have your own issues going on in your private life. I was a really good student in school, both academically and in attitude, but I took the heat for A LOT of things. I had two instances where teachers were upset with the class being loud or disrespectful. A male teacher took off his backpack and threw it straight across the room close to where I was sitting and made us sit in silence for 15 minutes while he glared at us. A female teacher was so mad, she took our papers and threw them on my desk. I had another teacher give me attitude because I wanted to take a test passed deadline, talking bad about me in front of the class. Another time, my friends and I were talking while doing some art assignments and the teacher specifically put a hand on my back, went to my ear and yelled, "Stop. Talking!" and walked away. Was it because they knew I was a good kid that I wouldn't react aggressively? Probably, because through all of that (all in high school btw) I never treated them any differently, or called them out about their rude behavior. Three out of the four actually admitted to liking me a whole lot, saying I was, "The salt of the Earth"....Great to know someone so nice deserves to be treated so horribly. I still have unnecessary guilt, thinking I deserved all of that (not including other trauma I experienced with classmates, family, etc.) I should've went OFF.

Worst experience was when my Ap Lit teacher made me read a section from “Bless Me Ultima” (a beautiful book with a large chunk of dialogue being Spanish.) I was a nervous teen (unknowing to her growing social anxiety) and botched it. But instead of moving on , he cut me half way through laughing and said “wow, you’re really white aren’t you.” Continued to laugh and then asked “if one of the other native speakers could read the rest.” (FYI, he was also white.) Funny thing though, the people who seemed the least amused by his joke were the Hispanic students. One of them being a friend of mine who kept giving me the side eye like “are you going to be okay?” So yeah, I cried. And spent the next few years terrified to even try pronouncing foreign languages. I hate that man.

In freshmen year, i had a teacher that was cool at first but then overtime je was annoying, it got to the point that he'll either stop teaching or hold us back for 10 minutes. I had this teacher for 2nd period and hell hold us for 10 minutes and the other from his 3rd period was confused as to why he was holding my class back. But there was one time where he straight up had enough and just throw things to the ground but laughing at the same time. So when the bell rang he straight up look at us and said to not get up from our seat, for 15 minutes we had to sit their while he was mumbling words as he was working at his computer. And then after 15 minutes waiting security came with the principles( there were 2 principles) and there were confused as to why my class was getting hold back. The teacher was telling but instead of us getting in trouble it was my teacher. Im a sophmore and I havent seen that teacher ever since, i think you know why..

My teacher used to follow me around whenever I was having a bad day and bother me saying I’m being disrespectful because I was walking away from her. I have bad anger issues and so to keep me from boiling over, I leave the situation and take a breather. And before I could get to that point I told her as kind and respectfully as possible, that she was bothering me and I wasn’t trying to be rude, and she was the one being disrespectful because it was easy to tell that I was getting upset. I walked away again and she stopped bothering me.

Late but still wanted to response lol teacher from Germany here and I totally get the teachers, not to that extreme but with each year the government expects more and more from us... more work for the same payment, we have less and less time to make our own lesson plans or see each individual child. What got me in the job; helping and seeing each child isn't possible anymore. the classrooms get bigger and bigger with less coworkers, you have to document everything now, the parent are getting more and more uncooperative and the children get more and more disrespectful and physical... and then after work you work on lesson plans. you can never have a break because you're constantly analysing the day, the behaviours and how to act in the future. Every 3rd teacher has to fight with burn out and/ or depression nowadays... its wild
