The gems 💎! Quick question do for now you are only focusing on your loop store? No more beat sales?
@danielsaintmusic Жыл бұрын
During the call he mentioned not making tons of full beats lately, mostly making loops for packs, placements, and collabs. I personally started a channel of no drums acoustic type beats and have actually seen some great success from that because I think not a lot of people are doing it. Specifically with your piano playing skills I would recommend doing a "no drums piano type beat" channel where you just pick a genre like R&B and drop a piano instrumental every other day with no drums, super simple and open for artists to sing/rap/freestyle over

have a separate TYPE BEAT KZbin channel? Why not just add it to our own main KZbin channel? I'm thinking it would be best to keep it as one because the subscriber number would be focused on one channel AND also people would be exposed to other types of content which would increase brand recognition. BUT what am I missing because I've seen other producers split it up with dedicated channels.... Thoughts?

Awesome Video! Question, Which format you recommend to send your loops MP3 or WAV?
@danielsaintmusic Жыл бұрын
Always send as mp3, if its wav they will have to download it and 9 times out of 10 they will just skip it. And in my experience, anyone who needs a wav will just ask after they've decided they wanna use it, but a lot of my collab prods say they just use my mp3s

I have a question and hopefully kxvi can answer this. So I noticed that kxvi kinda separates himself from his previous business model (sending samples for collab sales) And in this interview he makes it really clear that he doesn’t focus on it anymore. I wanted to start doing the same thing to make a living out of this. (Or at least another income source) But watching this makes me kinda unsure if I should invest that time and effort into building my email list with top producers and sending out daily samples. Maybe I miss understood kxvi but it appears that the market is over saturated and it’s not worth it to start this business model anymore…?
@danielsaintmusic Жыл бұрын
the actual call was obviously more in depth than the final edit could be for KZbin (2+ hours total lol) but to answer your question yes he did elaborate on it more during the call. To summarize what he said, he still makes a solid amount of money off of collab sales, but it's not what he wakes up every day to focus on anymore (he focuses on SoniX now). That being said, he's still making loops daily and he has mailtrack setup to where he can easily send 500 emails in a couple clicks, so he sends loops out anyways (both for collab sales as well as placements). I think the overall theme of the video is that you don't want to put all your eggs in one basket, because eventually the hype may die down or the market might get saturated, and you will be left with less income if that 1 thing was all you had going for you. Finding ways to "kill 5 birds with 1 stone" and have multiple revenue streams with what you're already doing is the key to doing this full time
@KeyAnoBeats Жыл бұрын
Editor here, I'm the villain on this one a bit, he definitely went WAY more in depth with that and still acknowledged that it's still a probably source of income if you're consistent

bro can u make a video about how to improve in music producing
@sergeantpacket6944 Жыл бұрын
i mean not about how to sell but how to become good in making beats (like what to learn and practise or whatever)
@danielsaintmusic Жыл бұрын
this is a great question because the answer isn't always very straightforward when people just say to get good. If I was starting from scratch on producing I would find every KZbin video I could on the daw im using an learn the basics and some of the keyboard shortcuts to save time in the future, I would download as many free packs as I could find to get loaded up with some really good sounds, and then I would pick whether im gonna focus on melodies and loops or focus on drums and creating full beats. from there I would enter my loops or my beats into every beat battle I can find online, every discord server, and start making content of me playing my music for the camera for IG and TikTok etc, and once people start reaching out to me to start working, or ask how much for a beat, or just anything in general that signals that my music is worth buying or listening to, thats when I would know that my music is at the threshold of being "good enough" to really start selling and promoting @@sergeantpacket6944

bro a question, right now even if i can find any person to collab they ask for money on beatstars. How to actually approach people to collab through beatstars and how to find them or you mentioned an email list of 400 on daily basis, how do i make that list? How to find those guys to collab with me?
@danielsaintmusic Жыл бұрын
Yo so from my own experience of doing what KXVI recommends, I just go on KZbin and type in the artist style that I make loops for (xxxtentacion type beats for example) and then create a google sheet of all the names and emails and instagram handles of everyone I can find. then I DM them on instagram asking for permission to send them loops in exchange for 50/50 beatstars splits. the ones that say yes, I send a pack of 3 loops to as a demo of my work, and then I ask if they'd like to continue receiving loops (almost daily) and all of them so far have said yes. from there I start sending 1 loop per day or every other day, whatever I can manage, and doing that over the course of the 3 months I mentioned in the interview was how I made just under $2k (its actually now more like $2500 since this video was filmed)
@hambonetunes1988 Жыл бұрын
Side question, I know not really related but not sure who else to ask: those who make beats, do the beat makers also mix the beat? Or is that usually later after the vocals and final production is complete?
@MrTee-uy5tl Жыл бұрын
If you plan on posting your beats on youtube and want to sell them to people you’re gonna have to mix and master it yourself. You got to have a certain quality, otherwise people will just skip your beats and not buy. If you send out beats to artists and/or engineers you can keep it a little bit simpler but you can’t just send completely unmixed stuff out, at least a little bit of leveling, eq-ing and a limiter or clipper on the master to make it hit, otherwise the beat will sound pretty weak and in most cases very bad

makes sense, thanks! @@MrTee-uy5tl
