Rotary lawnmower.... I see an engineering collab with Superfast Matt. Sounds like something that he might be interested in helping you design.
@tokirak6 ай бұрын
There was at least one commercially available rotary lawnmower, so that’s most likely what he was referring to.

Congrats on the colab! You’ve earned it for sure. 🎉 C’mon 50,000! Keep it RAD! PS: Where was this suspension video when I needed it a month ago 🤣

Your still quite fit mate! Most people couldn't push a car more than 5 metres. Awesome video! Greetings from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺

I set the camera in the passenger seat. But it was so dark you couldn't see the whole journey lol

Basically after watching you and a guy here in Australia I've bought 2 rx8s in the last month. I do wish there were more rx8 lovers here in Australia. Anyway they are awesome whether they run or don't lol

Maintain Biking (he referenced this in the video).. any decently fit MTBer has the explosive power to rip up a technical climb.. so that's where he gets his fitness.. and yes.. I'm a MTBer so I know about this.. also and a S2 2010 Rx8 owner..hence my channel name :) - greetings from the Hawkesbury, Sydney Australia

Part of the suspension issue is they designed it to use the bumpstops as a part of the suspension instead of an actual bumpstop

If you look into it, there are old school rotary lawn mowers. I remember seeing a video about it. If you're serious, I'm sure you could track one down and Bridgeport it.😂

A huge issue that has become apparent in my country when it comes to rotaries is that there are almost none that can tune them. It's more or less a extinct skill. I'd learn myself but I have no clue where to get the knowledge. It's not like I have the money for a bunch of engines to sacrifice in the process of self thought. Nor the money for a dyno. But trade secrets are what pay the bills so I understand that. But it's also what's killing the rotaries where I live.

Hi from Sydney Australia. I drove my low compresion S1 RX8 for over 3 years before i replaced the motor. It just takes a little planning .. Filling up with fuel ( leaving the car running). If you go somewhere, you need to plan enought time for the motor to cool down to allow it to start again to avoid the hot start issue. .. Towards the end i was getting very good at driving a low compression motor !!

Fortunately, in UK we get better suspension as standard, then you get R3 suspension, then the top dog PZ suspension that Mazda copied as close as they could(pro drive developed it and hold all the rights to it) with Bilstien shocks and I believe eibach springs but pz has progressive springs.
@jaxontanner98226 ай бұрын
I just threw some modified R3 coilovers on mine, using mazdaspeed springs, as well as changing them to be adjustable height, and for only trading installing a power steering rack in a GMC for them, it has been a much needed upgrade

Look into swapping the front knuckles to automatic ones so you can use the smaller discs to move the caliper inward and use smaller rims. Don't know if 15's will fit, might depend on wheel type.

I just about get 22mpg or 300 miles(before the fuel light comes on) and here in the UK a gallon is bigger than in the states so 22mpg means we should get more to the gallon

Love the content. I have a 2005 RX8 it runs rich and has what I suspect is a gas leak on the left side. Could it be a hose or line. New to the RX8 platform.

Kinda wish you would use a different car for the rally. Yellow Rx-8s are rare. It would be cool to showcase it as a budget daily. Maybe inspire a high school or college kid to get into rotary.

R3 Bilsteins are a decent upgrade, the bumpstops unfortunately are no better than the base marshmallows, at 50k they are already shot. If you're going to keep the bilsteins on there for any length of time you should replace the bumpstop crumbs (or ideally upgrade them with something from FatCat motorsports. ) upgrade

Congrats on the collaboration, but I'm not gonna lie, I watched a G&G video once and they were so ignorant about rotaries while making unqualified claims about them that it irrated me to the point that I wrote off their channel as not worth watching lol. Then again, he does say here that he knows nothing about rotaries and you are a great person to hopefully show him what they are all about. Either way, should be good for your channel, so that's pretty cool.
