I'm applying for JET again, but I wished I got to experience and live in Japan before 2020. I feel like Japan isn't the same, but I'm still gonna apply. My goal is to have a career in the Japanese animation industry. I using the JET or some other teaching job as a steeping stone to get to Japan and teach for a few years before applying at an animation studio.

I was wondering if you have your teaching certificate, or if it makes a difference when you go for ALT work in Japan? I know the JET website says it isn’t required, but I was wondering your opinion on it. Is it worth the extra time to get the teaching certificate or not? Also, thank you for the amazing videos!
