I have to choose between Masters of teaching ( secondary) ( Science subject ) from Charles Darwin University or Masters of Educational leadership from University of Wollongong. Now the thing is that i m pretty sure that i can be a good science teacher ( after completion of MOT) whereas i m also good at handling other managerial jobs that masters of education would offer me ..and curriculum of both of them is also not a concern bcoj i am good academically .... I am aware of the fact that --- Masters of teaching is much particularly for teaching and science teachers are in great demand in Australia ... And masters of education has a much broader career prospects than just teaching!! Whereas MOT is available in the SOL and masters of education is not dere bcoj i am looking for a career option that fetches me both 1) lucrative job 2) PR I am hell confused which one to choose between these two as this decision is going to entirely tranform my life forever ! The main difference is the job opportunity spectrum. If you choose both you’re able to work in both fields. However you will also have to look into the skills occupation list for your PR. That is if you’re wanting to settle here.

You only need LANTITE if you’re doing your master of teaching and intend to become a teacher. Not sure if master of education is on the SOL list. You’ll have to check that online.

You will have to get your B.Ed degree assessed in Australia. The assessment will give you an idea if you can directly work in Australia or if you’ll need to study and complete a few more modules

You would have to get your teaching degree assessed by AITSL here in Australia. That would provide an idea if you could directly migrate and work as a secondary teacher or if you’d have to study a few more modules before commencing your teaching career. Hey! I’m glad you found the video helpful. Coursework is basically just the syllabus you cover during your course. It consists of a set number of subjects and the topics you will learn from each subject. Hope that makes sense. Good luck with the interview.

Hey there! I did a lot of practice papers. The uni also provides some websites which are solely for practising the components of the exam. Getting your VIT is a whole another process. You need to have a current IELTS Score of 8,8,7,7. A police clearance check from your country. Your degree completion certificates. These would get you a provisional VIT registration. To acquire the full registration you need to collect evidence of your teaching from the 7 standards and present it to a panel. You can check the details online. Hope this helps! 👍🏽

Yes, AITSL assesses your teaching degree and provides a certificate stating the same. If you’re planning on migrating directly without studying in Australia, you will have to provide your bachelor or masters degree certificates, work experience documents as well as ielts scores to get your degree assessed and marked as suitable according to their standards.

However, things have slowly been changing with many male educators joining the industry. There isn’t any preferences in the education sectors.

You move onto a temporary residency visa once you’re done studying. Your student visa expires immediately after so you need to apply for a TR. This gives you 2-3 years of stay and full working rights in the country.

Melbourne in general is a very multicultural city. I haven’t come across any racial discrimination so far, but then you also have to make a wise choice with where you work and how the company values you. No one worries about your accent as long as your communication is clear and understandable.
